Wonderful, delicious, fresh food. I got the lettuce shrimp tacos and flavors were beautiful. I ate the whole thing! They only had 3 servers the day of the Taylor Swift concert, and, although slower than what you might normally expect at a restaurant, it was not overly slow.

The fish bowl margaritas were great and the elotes and queso were the best part of the meal. I enjoyed the live music outside. However, the rest or the food was okay and the service was not great. My table waited almost an hour to check on the table after we were served. I was also disappointed because everyone says they have a great brunch but they only had a breakfast burrito on the menu.

First time at brookside barrio. Our server Riley was awesome! She was knowledgeable about gluten intolerance (which is rare). She made sure to let the kitchen know as well. The atmosphere was also great. We sat on the patio and there were fans so it wasn’t unpleasant. Food was really good. We will definitely be back and we hope to get Riley again:)

The service was really slow. It took almost 15 minutes to get a server to come to the table and bring drinks. The fajitas were too greasy and didn’t have any flavor. The chicken burrito was really bad.

We came in for happy hour snacks and margaritas and our server Riley was awesome. She was very attentive and friendly, had a great recommendation to get the new queso, and always kept our waters refilled which was nice since it was so hot. The patio is always a fun vibe and the happy hour deals are great!

Brookside Bario is incredible! The atmosphere is very relaxed. I visited the restaurant on a Saturday evening and was seated quickly without any wait (they also had the chiefs game on which was another plus). Our server was friendly and the food is some of the best I’ve had in KC. I can’t wait to visit again and try something new!

Food was sub par. Mislabeled menu. Selling pork rinds and charging them as chicharrones. My drink was incorrect. My partners food was delicious and hot but my food was Luke warm. I had to ask to get it reheated. I ended up not eating it. And they still tried charging me for it. They eventually took 50% off for my meal only. Joe E. was our server. Bad service unfriendly. Will not be returning. Only reason it’s getting two stars for food is because my partner’s meal was good to her.
