Great quick Airport Breakfast!! Charlotte Airport is lucky to have such a good restaurant in its lineup such as Brookwood Farms! Very friendly welcoming staff, lightning quick service and the food is wonderful. I got the big country breakfast for $14.99 and it certainly hit the spot. Eggs, Biscuit, smoked sausage, and oatmeal.

You don’t go to the airport for good food, but on the rare occasion you have something decent, it’s worth talking about! I had a connecting flight in the morning through Charlotte recently and had some time to get food before the second leg of my trip. I saw this place with the big “barbecue” sign on top and thought, might as well try it since I’m in North Carolina! They had a huge line waiting for the people serving you, but I stuck it out (it took about 20 minutes or so) and I got myself a big plate for breakfast. Biscuit, eggs, bacon, hash browns, sausage…and there were many more options available, my plate just got too full! All in all, it was a pretty solid breakfast – it won’t be winning any awards, but it will fill you up nicely and get you prepared for the flight ahead. I’d recommend this place if you’re ever at this airport in the morning!

Best BBQ at an airport. Been a few years since I flew through Charlotte and was so happy they are still there. Had to wait a few minutes before I could get a sandwich as they still had breakfast menu on the board. Worth the wait.

Only two of the five items I purchased were consumption worthy. Thus the two out of five stars. The collard greens were too sweet. Collard greens are not supposed to be sweet. The mac and cheese was too bland. The pulled pork was mushy and too salty. The hush puppies and the brisket were okay. For $23 I could have gotten something better, even in the airport. I love barbecue, but I cannot recommend this place.

The pulled pork was ok, but it had been stewing for a while and that had sapped out much of the texture and taste. The hush puppy and the coleslaw were the stars of the plate, and both pretty excellent by an airport standard.

Late lunch / early dinner before a flight home. For airport food, I have to admit that the food was decent.

Main entrees were good. I expected more from the sides. They were also out of a lot of options. Potatoes were bland. Cornbread was dry and needed more flavor.

Really good. It has a really great flavored seasoning and smokey flavor that doesn’t over power the meat. Which is good because I don’t want fake BBQ that’s over shines the meat and hides possibly inferior quality meats. There was no slaw, again in fine with this because the wrong slaw may not compliment your pulled pork and compensate or hide a poor meat. I got the sauce on the side, which I always do, because good barbecue shouldn’t need a sauce, but I like to taste each location’s sauce and rate it too. This was a really good sauce and I dipped my sammich in it and yes it compliments it nicely, but with this quality of meat you don’t need the sauce unless you want it. The fried okra and pickles were mediocre, but that may have been because they were about to close and they were sitting there a long time. I would give this place another go if I have the time, there are better BBQ joints out there, but not many better airport BBQ joints.

After staying a whole night in the airport we were trying to find a place to eat. We went to several places and they were so rude we left. I ended up at Brookwood Farms because their menu looked delicious. They were very friendly with a positive attitude. It was greatly appreciated after having no sleep. The food (breakfast) was delicious! Definitely worth every penny! Thank you to the young person for your great attitude!
