A bit of a wait, like 45 minutes… but to be fair the food was excellent. Fish cooked perfect and tasted totally fresh. The crab Benedict with the sautéed spinach was unexpectedly delightful. Better than anything I’ve recently had in avenida, naples, South Miami, key largo or manayunk.

I placed a door dash order. I went to pick up my order after being told that it was ready. When I get there I immediately got the sense that there was no sense of organization with their to-go orders. I’m eventually told that I would have to wait an additional 30 minutes and there appeared to be no concern about the delay. I returned after 30 minutes giving them more time just in case. I finally received my food and the presentation was horrible and it was cold. I checked my bag and there was no syrup so I went back in to get it. I understand that restaurants are busy and they tend to have to focus more of their attention on customers who are dining in. However, the lack of professionalism in is place really needs to be addressed.

It’s a quaint unassuming spot that has a lot to offer. Don’t pass up this little grm of a place. Treat yourself and check them out; you won’t be sorry!

Although there were only 2 other patrons at tables when we initially arrived, the wait time for the food was ridiculous. I am not sure I will dine-in again but take-out is a possibility. The food was delicious and the outdoor seating area was nice. However, the wait for the food, the service, the check, and take out orders left us miffed as we walked out 3 hours later.

Wow! The Friday backyard barbecue (that turned indoor due to the rain) was a nice vibe. The food was fabulous! Rib meat fell off the bone! Mac & Cheese on point! There were so many items on the menu to nibble on.

Prior to visiting Philly, I researched black owned restaurants and I found Brotherly Grub on google. Let me just say, the food and the service was everything. I ordered the French toast, home fries, and bacon and I have to say it was one of THE best french toast plates I’ve ever had (no exaggeration) it was made to perfection and I am a picky eater. In addition the owner came over to our table to check in on us and was very personable which made the experience so much more pleasant. I noticed they have live music stage so Im sure on a busy day or night the vibe is even better. Definitely would recommend Brotherly Grub’s cafe or their food truck.
