So it’s pretty much what it says, it’s a test kitchen that has a bunch of stuff. Catfish, rib tips, turkey tips, ribs, fried mushrooms just to name a few and dessert. A bunch of stuff as well as regular chicken. Make sure you ask for sauce

Absolutely OUTSTANDING! We don’t have Brown’s Chicken by us anymore. My son saw the Brown’s while driving in Waukegan. We decided to have lunch there.. not knowing the homemade BBQ was part of it! The Brown’s Chicken was still amazing, but the BBQ? To die for! We had the cabbage as one of our sides. I have never tasted anything like it! It was absolutely delicious! The homemade Bourbon sauce was amazing! Everyone there was just so friendly and nice. We don’t live anywhere near Waukegan, but I told them we will DEFINITELY BE BACK!!

First off, neat looking place! Clean and very welcoming atmosphere with a very pleasant and friendly staff. Food looks good and taste good! Massive and juicy chicken tenders 3x that of chick fil a! A little bland to my taste but the BBQ sauce with hot sauce did some justice. Got my order wrong but was very happy to replace it. The soda was flat and also was very fast to take care of the issue. Like I said the staffs are very nice and lovely. Price is very fair for the excellent meal. Will come back to try other items on the menu.

This place never disappoints. I used to eat here and get the same two chicken sandwiches once a week for 3 years while I had to commute down to Gurnee 3 time a week for work. Eventually I no longer had to commute and my stops at Brown’s were the only thing I missed about the commute. I stopped by here today for the first time in five years and it was just as good as I remembered it. No change in quality or flavor whatsoever. Absolutely phenomenal.

This is NOT your ordinary Brown’s Chicken. They cook SOUL food here in addition to their Brown’s selection. This expanded menu ranks as some of the best bbq in the area. AND, the staff treats you as if YOU are the most important guest of the day. AND…they have electronic gaming! OMG!!!
