ALERT: TOP TEN ENTRY FOR CHICKEN NATIONWIDE. You know that you are going someplace special when you turn off the main highway and it’s B’s Barbeque Road that takes you to your destination! And B’s fully lived up to our expectations; indeed, my significant other needed only one bite of the smoked chicken to proclaim it the best that she had tasted anywhere in the country. And this was the 359th BBQ stop in a journey spanning 35 states.

Was driving through town and saw a long line in front of this little hidden gem! Decided to stop and check out the excitement! Fried chicken sold out (bet that was yummy) but I was there for a BBQ Sandwich, which didn’t disappoint and I added a few corn sticks! Heck Ya, perfect spot for lunch!

I had heard nothing but good things about B’s Barbecue, I went for the first time today and it was everything that I was told plus 100. The atmosphere is absolutely lovely, I was greeted at the window which was awesome, being politely greeted makes me feel that my patronage is welcomed. I ordered the bbq plate, and the chicken plate, they were both absolutely delicious. When ever I’m in Greenville, North Carolina again I’m looking forward to heading back to “B’s Barbecue!”

The entire experience was excellent. Get there early. We got there 11:45 a.m. and they ran out of chicken about two people after us. And the pork barbecue is really great, clean not fatty or bristly. It is vinegar sauce which we prefer. And loved the hush puppies (corn pone, really).
