BTW – BURGERS TACOS WAFFLES Menu – Tavares, FL

Type : Restaurant

Location : Tavares, FL

We love good food!
Our goal is to offer high-quality, delicious food at a fair price. Encouraging people to try some deliciously, handcrafted food that they may not have thought about making themselves.
Like we are named, we pretty much only have Burgers, Tacos, and Waffles with a few extras.
We want to make food fun again with a food truck style menu.
Think of our theme as if we took three different food trucks, that make great street food, and put them in a brick and mortar building.
We now have Crafted Concoctions-Coffee and Cocktails. Coffee served at 7:30am Tuesday- Friday!

There are soooo many great items on the menu to try. From the burgers that have unique tastes and toppings, to the 6 cheese mac and cheese, or course the walking taco (which was huge) then finally the red velvet fried Oreos that we dipped in the raspberry sauce that came with our cheese curds (also added the jalapeño beer cheese as well). The staff was polite, friendly and took great care of us. If you have a chance to try it, do so. It’s worth it.

Love the industrial look inside this place. The burgers are juicy and delicious, highly recommend the whiskey glaze burger and cheese curds with raspberry sauce.

A friend recommended BTW after we attended an event nearby. I live about 40 minutes away but the food was so good I’ve been back twice this month and will probably make the drive at least one more time before the end of the year! Amazing burgers and the “Ramen Fried” are incredible (ramen noodles formed into sticks and deep fried). The toppings and sauces on the burgers and tacos are house-made and unique. Everything I’ve tried or seen my friends order is great. The restaurant has 2 “sides” with the main part being counter service with soda and draft beer. The other side has the same full food menu but also has a full bar offer with many signature cocktails and they have this cool little machine that can draw on your drink! If you live nearby I highly recommend it, and even if you don’t it is worth the drive!

Overall, our visit to BTW just felt not “worth it.” The menu and aesthetic feel very engineered to evoke a fast-casual fun hip foodie environment, but execution on the food was not up to the aesthetic standards, and the prices were far higher than they deserved to be.

Poutine is a must! Super tasty along with the fried Oreos. Plenty of options here so it’ll take multiple visits to try them all.

The food was really fresh and tasty. I had the bad mutha clucka chicken sandwich and it was so spicy and hot, it was perfect. I thought the prices were a little high until I actually got my food. Afterwards though, I can honestly say it was well worth it. It was all freshly prepared and extremely filling. I bought a homemade cookie there that felt like it weighed a pound and it was the best cookie ever. There was even a fried Oreo in the middle. I will definitely eat here again when I come back that way.

This place is not worth the cost. We ordered our burgers medium, they both came out well done, and if they did season them, it tasted as if they didn’t use any at all. Not even salt and pepper. We got their “Ramen Fries”, they are unique and all but tasted like cheap ramen. I expect a lot more from a place charging $20 for a burger for it be cooked incorrectly. When we got the bill we were charged to make the cheese curds “shareable” but were never told about this and never asked for a larger portion. Did we get a larger portion?? We had 2 apps, 2 burgers , and 2 beers and it cost 75$ before tip. I don’t mind spending money on quality food, see previous posts….. I took a while to go for my first time because I have different views on how a burger should be cooked, but I went last night and my thoughts confirmed my beliefs. Probably won’t be back.

This was our first time at BTW since we don’t live in the area. We had the chicken and waffles and three tacos. The tacos were great! Loved all the unique ideas. The chicken was a little over cooked. Service was great. We will be back to try more items once we’re in the area again.
