Buck Russell’s has to be one of the best additions to the Wilmette downtown area. Not only is the food amazing, but there is such a wide variety of options for whatever mood you are in! There is anything from sandwiches and salads to pastries and ice cream. I have had a custom birthday cake made here that was above and beyond expectations, and every lunch I have had here has been more than satisfactory. I cannot recommend Buck Russell’s enough. It is a must!

Food is fine taste wise but too expensive for what you get…. The buckaneer tastes good but its very small, like 4inch diameter bun. My dad got a turkey club but said it was rather bland. My mom enjoyed her salad though.

A welcome upgrade to that other sandwich spot across the street. Love that they added the ice cream counter that hands down beats the nostalgic favorite, north on Greenbay Rd, and without the lines (for now). I only wish that the restaurant side was open later than 3PM!

We came out from Barrington to go to Gillson Beach and stopped by after. What a charming place! Darling atmosphere, great service and delicious food. Homerun – way to go Buck Russell’s!

Another overpriced, overrated place from the Ballyhoo chain. I don’t know who enjoys paying $12 for a mediocre sandwich but they don’t even have a good variety and everything is unhealthy and full of meat. The “bakery” is rice krispie treats and why would I go here for ice cream when Homer’s is the best in Chicago? Sadly, the Buck Russell name was stolen from a great John Hughes movie. Did they even get permission?

Delighted with this new restaurant! The sandwiches are delicious and the breakfast sandwiches are big favorites with my family. Love the charming attached bakery. Ordered a wonderful birthday cake from there and enjoyed the vast selection of pasties. Had a wonderful latte. So glad to have this place in Wilmette.

It’s a small spot with limited seating and an old school burger joint vibe. Service was quick and burgers/fries were great.
