What a fun place to go and enjoy some really great BBQ. My boyfriend was stoked with his ribs. Boy, were they beautiful and tasty. The mac balls were delicious and my chicken sandwich was outstanding. I got the last one, too. They do sell out of items, so be sure to get there early if you want the shhh puppies. We missed out this time but will be back to try them soon. The staff was so friendly and our pup was allowed to eat with us. He is well behaved so we are lucky. He sure enjoyed the rib bone dad gave him, too. I’d recommend going to enjoy the night here at this fun spot in El Cajon.

Sam’s the best! Food is great! I went two days in a row because I didn’t care to look for any place else. I knew the food would be good and worth the price! Aged vanilla cream soda on tap. The sweet potato fires are odd. But a good odd! Battered so they are crispy outside but hot and soft on the inside.

Great barbecue and plenty of choices for sides. Quality meats at a good value. The atmosphere is much nicer than expected. They can accommodate large parties and have a nice patio. The prices were pretty reasonable. Pleasantly surprised and can’t recommend enough.

Best bbq pulled pork and el cajon local beer. waay better than Phil’s with zero line. my meal took 6min. to make.. Bar service for me. 5 plus solid bbq of course in the southern hills of Ramona.

1st time customer doing takeout ordered online. Yes, please may I have another! I am a corn bread sommelier and this place does corn bread proud. Oh, my. The protein was tops also. The smoke suits me fine as it’s light and let’s the dish speak through. Staff was friendly and engaging. Recommend.

Stopped in here for lunch after church and there was no wait! The staff was friendly and helpful (we were first timers) and the food came out pretty quickly. Delicious tri-tip, perfectly creamy coleslaw (not too heavy on the mayo), & perfect Texas toast! The restaurant features some different BBQ sauces, but they tasted fairly similar and the jalapeno one didn’t pack much heat, just FYI. I didn’t have room for dessert but all 3 options sounded delicious! The decor is vintage and goes well with the vibe inside. We hope to return soon!
