My wife and I as well as our friends were looking for a quick meal and a beer after a hard day when we came across the restaurant/bar. We walked in at 6:50 pm and they had already closed the grill and were ready to close for the day. The staff reopened the kitchen to accommodate us. Fantastic food, atmosphere and staff! Check them out if you are in the Upper Peninsula or passing through.

I have NO CLUE how they get good reviews! I travel all across the USA for my job. I have ate at fine dining to local dive bars. But never have I been served a burger and fries that were sooooo greasy that the tables had to be washed down after the meal to get up all the grease dripping from the food. And because it was on the expensive side I chose to force myself to eat about half of it…that was a huge mistake I paid for later…..so if you like food that will drip grease all over you, and send you to the bathroom all night, well this is the place for you!

Went for a drink 30 minutes from the posted closing time and the OWNER said “if you wouldn’t have went for the side door I would have let you in”. Mind you the bar had probably 20 people in it and we assumed the front door was locked on accident. Incredibly rude owner, it’s a shame because it was under great management for years:(

The food is always great, as is the service. Recently attended the scavenger hunt and had an amazing time. A few glitches, but overall a wonderful experience! Met a lot of very nice people. Although it was not a race, when we arrived back, everything was basically finished except for the music. The drawings, auctions, food, prizes etc. Should be a little later. I was a little disappointed that everything was finished, especially since my poker hand held 4 – 10’s. ( We arrived back at 6:00 instead of 5.) It would be great if this was an annual event, and even better if they also had a fall colors run. How beautiful would that be?!? I would definitely participate, as would many others. Once again, great event, great time! Thanks for the memories!

Really good wings that came really fast, the fries tasted home cooked, may not be for everyone but I love them like that. Servers were polite and checked on us.

Awesome place to stop for a bite and beer. The Jalapeño Burger has claimed the number two spot on my all-time greatest burgers list. And Sonja was a fantastic bartender.

We showed up at 7:10 on Sunday. Sign said open till 8pm get doors were locked and people inside. Went in through the patio and they said they were closed then went and turned the sign off and told us they were closed. It’s 4th of July weekend when there’s a TON of people up here and I guess they already make too much money to service the rest of us who come up for the holiday. Yesterday we were going to stop and they were closed at 1pm and sign said open till 11pm! Ridiculous ! We wish the previous owners never sold this place.

I challenge anyone to find a harder working staff. Good food, good ambiance, and smiles. Unfortunately, being a busy bar in the middle of most eastern Upper Peninsula activities… there’s bound to be someone who complains about stupid stuff. Law of averages. This place stays busy because it’s a great place to eat and drink. End of story.

The food was good, the fries were a little over cooked for my taste, the burgers were excellent! After a day of exploring and trail riding it hit the spot!
