We stopped in and tried Bud Jackson’s after many local recommendations. It is your very typical small town, comfort food, eatery & taps. I will say, the staff were working their butts off pushing out a lot of food and drinks for this very popular local establishment. The prices were very reasonable, the food we ordered was pretty good for the most part. They had a good selection of beers on tap and a full bar. There were pool tables, slot machines, and a lot of TVs to catch the most recent games. Overall, for the small town of LA Grande, this place was a good place to stop in and have a bite of food and a drink.

Chowder is the best dish in this shop in my opinion.so thick so savory taste. Pork rib taste is ok to me. However the texture is awesome. Meat and bone is easier split. Perfectly cooked texture

Rib eye cooked to perfection, baked potato excellently prepared, vegetables cooked well also. Lisa, my Server was cheerful, professional and timely in checking on everything. Definitely recommend this place if you are in town for the night or full time. Will be back whenever staying in or near LaGrande! Thanks Bud Jackson’s!

I only regret not asking for her picture. Food is great. Service even better. Her million smile and heart of gold have changed my life. She’s got more wisdom than half the people my age. She’s half my age. What an inspiration. So when you visit this place and you should and you order the steak bites and you should and when a lady serves them to you with a smile, a sense of humor, and compassion for strangers. Then you’ll know you’ve met Aspen. I miss her already.

I had a 12oz steak witch garlic mashed potatoes and more salad than I could eat! And a good IPA of course! They were not ready for about 25 rv folks to show up, but responded quickly, c as long in h Ed look! Cheers!!!

The atmosphere was awesome, there was a good verity of different age groups. The staff were doing the best they could on a bussy Friday night; They were under staffed. The food….. it took over 40 minuses to receive our food. My husband and I ordered the Beast Hamberger meal. The cook put the wrong items on our plates. Ordered a BLT. Asked if they could do the bacon extra crispy before I ordered it. Server said “yes”. Nothing extra crispy or even crispy about the bacon so soggy and pink exactly what I DIDNT want….. we probably won’t be back. Server never checked to see if it was right or ok. Nothing until check came.
