First time. The window lady was very nice. The food is subpar. About in line with a chain restaurant. The brisket is not what you would expect. Its more like thin sad dry sandwich meat (but even then arbys has better beef then tbis was)…chicken is dry. Pulled pork is decent. None of it really has flavor or give you the sense of good truly smoked bbq. Gave it a try but its not for me. Especially paying these crazy prices…pies were ok. The free huspuppies were the best thing out of all of it.

I had Buddy’s BBQ in Hixson cater my nephew’s graduation party last week and it was a great experience. The wings were perfectly packaged in 2 large, oven-safe metal warmers where I kept them in the oven on low heat for two hours during graduation. When I served them, they were PERFECT. Big hit!! I am super picky about potato salad and theirs exceeded my expectations. The gallon of baked beans were hot and delicious. Buddy’s did not disappoint…they are the best in the area and the price point is also the best!! I had enough food for 30 people and spent less than $200. I highly recommend them for your crowd whether big or small!

I got the trio plate. The ribs were difficult to eat, completely dry on the outside and had to chew for extended period of time. The ‘Brisket’ must have been microwaved because it was grey and didn’t have much flavor. The chicken was OK. Fries were OK. Some of the customers were rude to the guy at the desk but he had like 20 plus people rush the door at the same time and was rocking getting the orders out. Props to him. They also ran out of hush puppies for the night and didnt tell anyone. I tried this place a year ago and the food was quite unimpressive. We decided to try it again and honestly it was even worse. On the plus side the dining room was absolutely spotless. Every table was clean and even had the paper towel folded perfectly. Floors were spotless as well as the bathrooms.

I was in there on a Tuesday and ordered their special pork plate, $7.99. I am somewhat suspicious of bbq chains, but the food quality was excellent. The pulled pork was moist, the BBQ sauce was mild, the French fries were of excellent quality — hot and not over salted. The one item that many places fail is their Cole slaw. This was the best Cole slaw of any restaurant I have been to! The portions are large and each dinner comes with hush puppies and a drink for $7.99. I also liked that the employees were older folks that cared about customer service. A great hidden gem! Thanks to the folks at Buddy’s.

I fully understand frustration in the Restaurant business today. This was my first time here. When I got home, there was no BBQ sauce in either carry-out container and the baked beans in my wife’s had about a fourth of an inch of beans with mostly sauce. We should have given the Hush Puppies to the squirrels, they were soft and mushy. When I spoke to the manager, she said most of the staff had laid out all day, and she only had trainees there. When I tried to tell her, I understood, she just kept talking over me about how bad it was. If she had just said, I’m sorry, next time you’re here bring your ticket and I will comp you a drink or a side. I listened to the rant, and finally said this is my first time, and it will be my last time here. Her response was, I don’t care and she hung up the phone. This isn’t to get anyone in trouble. I can only imagine what she’s been through all day long. I should have suspected something with the young man running the register didn’t have an answer when I asked, are the flavors of your sauces hot, med, mild. What do you have and he didn’t know. Sorry for the staffing issues. It may be better to close early rather than customers having these kind of experiences.

Consistently good food, great service. The BBQ pork always has a deliciously smoky flavor, green beans are perfectly seasoned, and there is a good variety of sides. I love the extras they offer with the spicy pickles and hushpuppies. Staff is friendly and attentive. Buddy’s is always a winner for my family.

Pulled pork sandwich is amazing and the hotdog was just as good. The hush puppies really bring the meal together and are addicting! Some of the staff might be new but are extremely friendly and are making sure you have a great experience.

The only thing on the menu without a price is their brisket. Just says market price. So for 18.33 I got brisket and a drink. If you want a flavorless and chewy brisket this is the place for you. I said no when the cashier asked if I wanted sauce on my brisket. I ended up putting some on anyhow to have some sort of flavor.
