Great food! Wouldn’t even notice it was vegan unless specifically told. The chicken bqq sandwhich was superb and very filling, and for only $8 it’s a steal. The place has some outdoor seating but otherwise it’s a takeout style place, with just a window to order and pay, no indoor area available to customers. You can order ahead of time but I ordered on the spot and it was ready in about 5 minutes. Will definitely be coming back here!

I love Buds so much! I have been eating here for years and unlike the rest of the vegan restaurants in SLC, this place continues to have amazing food and great prices. I am also so happy they have added new items to the menu! If you wanna impress none vegans, please take them here, then walk to Liberty Park or Memorial Grove for a picnic. Get the Pesto or the Buffalo and DO NOT forget to get a cookie. Best in town! Never change, Buds!!!!

This place fills a hole I didn’t even know was in my life. Found it because my sister came in town and she’s vegan, going back because it was one of the best sandwiches of my life. I can personally recommend both the Fresh Veggie and Mediterranean Veggie sandwiches but I also can’t wait to be back and try their other menu items. I also love their lavender lemonade because it’s not too strong and pairs great with the meal. Highly recommend making this place a regular place to visit!

Buds is the very best VEGAN lunch spot in Salt Lake City. I eat here multiple times a week. Super friendly staff, very tasty and quick service. I have never had a bad experience here and I highly recommend buds to anyone! Even you meat eaters. Because I am sure you couldn’t even tell the difference.

I like their food and it’s priced very well for the quality and the fact that it’s vegan. I suggest checking the busy times and possibly ordering ahead. The last time I was there (a Friday at 1pm) they said it would be a 30-minute wait and it ended up being nearly an hour. But they gave me a cookie for free, that makes up for it right? Not for me, they were too sweet for me. I wish they were open later and opened up their outdoor dining.

Excellent sandwiches! The bread is that chewy & crispy hoagie roll, fillings are dialed and very tasty (nothing bland here) – pics of the Mediterranean & Buffalo & Banh Mi (my fav of the 3). Walk-up service was super pleasant, happy folks !
