This place is not for fans of fancy decor. Yes, it’s casual. I love it. Very friendly staff. The chips are top notch. I had fish tacos and they were delicious. This place is easy to drive past or forget it exists, and you shouldn’t. It’s less than 5 minutes from Main Street and has a lot of menu choices. Take the time to try it out. Also, breakfast all day long.

I’m not sure if I came on a bad day, because I have heard great things about this restaurant that I just didn’t experience. There was no heat, and so I had to wear my full puffer jacket while I ate. They also got my order wrong, and my food had no flavor whatsoever.

Buena Vista is a cozy little place with absolutely delicious food. You get a big basket of light, crispy chips and a mini carafe of salsa upon arrival. I tried the Tree Amigos plate with pork tamale, steak taco, and cheese enchilada. The meat was tender and their homemade corn tortillas are soft and chewy. The rice was fluffy and the beans were creamy. None of the food was overly salted and the staff was very friendly. I can’t wait to go back!

Good food, but you never know if they’ll actually be open. I’ve tried on multiple occasions to dine here, only to find out they closed early or never opened in the first place. They might as well replace their hours of operation with a sign that states “We open and close when we feel like it”. Inconsistency on their part will be rewarded with consistency on mine. I will never spend another dime here.

My husband said his food was alright. He got a torta and he said the bread was tuff. I got a taco salad and the refried beans in the salad were like water and they tasted old. The salsa was not good we didn’t even eat it. I have never eaten at a place where I thought the food just terrible. First time for everything I guess.

The lady working was waitressing everyone by herself so I give her huge props for being as fast as she could and never making you feel like you were bugging her. The food was awesome. Think we found out favorite mexican food in altus.
