The food was superb! The entrees were tasty and had good, large portions! I got the “crab madame”. I was thoroughly impressed! My wife got the chicken and waffle sandwich. The chicken was dry, but the flavor pairing was good! We were slightly underwhelmed by the size of the crab pretzel app. However I understand seafood is expensive, and the flavor was good! Service was pretty good. We got ur food quickly! We could have gotten drink refills a little quicker, but they did seem so be slightly understaffed. So I understand! We will go again!

Service was great and place was very clean. Food was good but the mushroom truffle flatbread was supposed to have shaved truffles and truffle oil and it had neither so that was disappointing. Mashed potatoes had perfect texture but were underseasoned. Greenbeans were very good.

Bulls & Bears is located in the heart of the Arts & Entertainment district of Downtown Hagerstown, Md. It has a great vibe. The staff have great personalities and keep you smiling. Our waitress was Kirsten. She was funny, knowledgeable and accommodating. I got the Common Stock (bacon cheeseburger) and my gf got the Golden Share melt (Turkeyw/spinach & swiss cheese. Both sandwiches werewhat we wanted and they were awesome. Both had great flavor & was prepared perfectly. I had a draft Mich. Ultra and my gf had the sangria. Both were delicious. They have a great drink menu filled with all sorts of drinks that will meet your desire. The food menu has something for everyone’s taste buds. When you want a few drinks & a great meal paired with a few laughs…Stop by Bulls and Bears.

I’ve been to Bulls and Bears several times over the years and I’ve always enjoyed the food. The selection has always stayed fairly broad. It’s nice to go to a place and see new items every so often. This time I tried the Szechuan Short Ribs. The dish was well presented although it had a little too much fat on it. My wife was the winner of the night. She ordered the chicken Baltimore and it was delicious. The Old Bay cream sauce was just right. A lot of things made with old bay and end up being too salty. A chicken was lightly breaded and deep fried but still juicy. We both had a side of broccoli that was good and while I had a side of rice she had a side of mashed potatoes which went great with the old bay cream sauce. My only advice would be to put a little more crab on top. Both of our meals were $24 a piece. If you’re not familiar with bulls and bears they have a nice layout inside a cool building but still have outside seating on the sidewalk. Our server did an awesome job. He was truly working his tail off since he was the only server working on a Saturday night. Luckily we went early. I feel bad for the guy.

I couldn’t get out of the parking garage because I lost my ticket. Two separate attendants told me I needed to go to the ATM to get cash because that’s all they accept for the lost ticket fee. ATM was broken and not dispensing money. I told the attendant and he told me to walk around to some other downtown businesses to try to find a place that I could get cash. I went to this lovely establishment, Bulls and Bears, and told them my tale. I offered to buy something just to get some cash back. They gave me $8 to get out of the parking garage, and told me not to worry about it. I’ve dined here before and loved it. I’ll certainly come back again. All the people that worked there were kind and listened to me. It was an incredibly gracious thing to do. I recommend this place to all.
