Wonderful surprise to get this restaurant of Venezuelan food and especially of the EMPANADAS OPERADAS, the texture and flavor of the dough with the cheese and adding the filling of your choice makes it unique, the attention of its owners, the excellent flavor, presentation of its dishes and quality of its food makes you feel at home. So I got their bululu empanadas which is basically chicken, steak and chorizo then with pico de gaillo and pry some other veggies. They look amazing, and that first bite of the empanada will blow your mind, but then I got to the meat, which was good, but it was like every other bite of steak was gritty and I was pulling it out of my mouth because it just got annoying trying to chew it. I’m going to return, although I will pry avoid the steak, because these empanadas are like the best cheese dough sandwich thing I’ve ever had. I actually kind of wish they had a moucher bigger variety of empanadas. For instance I think bbq would be amazing in these things. Anyways, the restaraunt itself was also really nice and clean. Very modern looking. They also sell the flour there you need to make empanadas. Great place! Avoid the steak!

This place is Amazing! Way to bring the Tropics to the South Bend area. Always driving to this area to eat here. Their empanadas are out of this world, they have amazing soups and their desserts are so delicious. Not to mention the owner and the staff are clearly extremely talented and friendly! Looks to be family owned. I’ve had arepas in a few different states and a few different countries and this place is ranked pretty high among them. Not a whole lot of competition for this specific cuisine in the area but man is it good. Also…they have one of the best tres leches I’ve ever had.
