Sweet Chicken
We were excited to try a place we had never heard of. How interesting that a MS chain has 1 location in TN. We aren’t in the Smithville area often so wanted to jump while we had the chance to try it. Boy, were we disappointed. I’ve never had bad chicken strips before. Those are typically the safe option, right? They were chewy and bland. The onion rings were the tiniest excuse I’ve seen yet. I’m in no hurry to return.

Really cool old school drive up spot with some good ole’ all American junk food. Not a huge selection for the vegetarians, but if you are just looking for some cheese sticks, fried pickles, French fries or ice cream, I highly recommend this place. The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating. They let me take the bacon off the jumping jack fries, which I appreciated. I look forward to going back and trying the grilled cheese and onion rings.

It’s a sonic with more options. Unfortunately we saw employees eating in the food area which feels unsanitary. No one wore gloves. I hope the staff starts enforcement of more clean habits and environment

The only Bumpers in TN! If May be comparable to Sonic, but other than the drive-in business model that’s where the similarities stop. Bumpers is exponentially better in not only the food but also their customer service & speed. I don’t think I’ve ever had to wait more than 20 mins except once when it was a really large order & it was worth the wait. The food was so hot I had to wait to eat! If you’re looking for an old school, classic drive-in experience then drive on past Sonic and visit our Bumpers crew!

Just spent $30 on cold food after waiting 30 minutes for it to come out. Burger was disgusting and cold. Fries were cold. Nothing about this place was good at all. McDonald’s would be a better choice.

We have been driving past here for years and we’re able to stop finally tonight. I thought it would be one of those can’t get everywhere good food. It was myself and my 3 kids, my son like the chicken fried sandwich. My daughter did not like the burger she said it didn’t taste like meat, my other daughter got the shrimp and liked it, I got the chicken tenders they tasted like old grease was used to cook them and were very dry. The French fries tasted like this same old grease and were so salty we had to wipe it off with the napkins to eat them. I also had onion rings that tasted the same and was just hard crunchy batter with little to no onion inside. Since getting home we have all had stomach issues. The milkshakes were good. The customer service was amazing, so friendly and she had a lot of patience as we were ordering and had questions from never being there before, just wish the food matched how good the customer service was, we would of been back for sure but can’t justify spending over $40 and not having good food to eat. Maybe this was an off day or they were at the end of needing to replace the grease either way though not for us again.

When I first started going here the food was good and worth the money. The past couple of months have been very disappointing, my order is always incorrect and last night for $11 I got a low grade hotdog where the bun stuck to the paper holder and burnt funnel cake fries that could not be eaten. This was a very disappointing trip and made me waste the funds. Not sure what’s going on but hope they reevaluate and get better again to where the quality of the food matches the prices they are charging.
