The burger here is really different from other places that I have tried. It was not dry. Inside was really juicy! We took bunzai burger with their fries. Me and my husband shared it. They even cut it in half which was nice. They asked if we wanted it to be cut. The fries were good too! The place is clean. There is an outside sitting area which would be nice in winter. I really recommend anyone to try these burgers if you have not yet. They also have one vegan burger option. Will go back to try other one’s!

I watched the build and retrofit on this building for months. Originally it was a Pollo Tropical, and now a Beer and Burger stop. It was lunch, I was driving and alone in midday, so I passed on the beer (maybe next time). Staff were upbeat and helpful in walking through options. Decided to go with the G.O. Special with fries and a drink. The pictures attached are worth a thousand words. I had my burger prepared to medium. Glad I did, as I think it would have been dry if cooked any more. The cheddar was sloppy melty and falling off the bun. Literally had to catch a Lafferty dollop sliding out the backside as I took a bite. Love, love, love the melted cheese and special sauce. The Crescent Fries were awesome, once dressed and ‘dirtied up’. Get that Ketchup label fully implemented, and keep the tables and toilets clean and this place will be great. Give it a try, be adventurous and drive passed the other Orange and White burger brand next door!

Me and my fiancé ate here for lunch and really weren’t impressed. We love to try new food and give it a fair shot, but this was just not great. Seems like this place likes to shoot for big flashy appearance, and the taste is lacking. We got the Chickenbunz and Cowbunz and both just lacked flavor in the meat. The initial flavor of sauce was there, but then you’d be left chewing tasteless meat… Honestly we didn’t even enjoy the flavor profile of the burger very much. The thickness pickle slices are a bit ridiculous. If anything, the fries were very good, but I wouldn’t come back to pay $40 for okay food.. oh and a 30 minute wait ♀️

If you’re a burger lover, then you absolutely have to try the burgers at Bunz! Their burgers are hands down one of the best burgers I have here in SA. They’re made with high-quality ingredients, cooked to perfection, and served on freshly baked brioche buns. The buns are soft and buttery, and perfectly compliment the juicy, flavorful burgers. I had the Beach bunz burger and it was delicious!!! good option if you’re craving crab cakes.

Was so excited to try this place and it was just ok. I like to try new food and give it a fair shot, but this was just not great. The burger was dry and the taste is lacking. We got the Mush bunz and the Mercedez bunz and both just lacked flavor in the meat.

It’s good, don’t get me wrong, but they have room for improvement. Main issue is the lobby. I get it, it’s hot and temps of 100⁰+ don’t help. AC could be lowered in the lobby or blinds could be deployed. Service took a minute BUT food was fresh and well with it. I know you guys will improve. I look forward to coming back

Bunz Handcrafted Burgers has become my favorite spot to get a quality burger. I visited the new location on 1604 by La Cantera and it definitely did not disappoint. From the friendly staff, to the food…Bunz is the place to go for lunch or dinner or both (I won’t judge). All of the burgers are made to order. The burger I normally get is called “Z Bunz”, which comes with house ground beef, sharp cheddar cheese, tomato, lettuce, sweet pickles and their ever so tasty house made Z sauce (yummm). The meat is perfectly seasoned with a good balance of salt and pepper and the freshly baked brioche bun lightly toasted is mouth watering. The fries come out fresh and crispy and are a must! Overall, I highly recommend Bunz Handcrafted Burgers, which in my opinion, is the best burger in San Antonio!
