While driving the area sampling many different pizzerias looking to find the best around, I walk into Buona Pizza and the atmosphere is rather dark with a few arcade games up near the entrance. Tables along the aisle as you walk up to the counter. I ordered 2 slices of pepperoni ($7), which were very crispy and greasy. A little too much of both for my taste.

I was in the mood for more pizza, so I came to this pizzeria because it had good reviews. When I arrived I parked on the street nearby. I walked in and went to the counter and ordered a slice with extra cheese. It came to about $4. When I dug in, the pizza was ok. All in all, I had an ok experience!

Great pizza. Been going here all my life (35 years) and i will be going there the rest of them no doubt. I have only ever gotten pizza and mozzarella sticks from here so i cannot recommend many items unfortunately. However, the pizza and mozzarella sticks are always delicious. I drive 20 minutes, to get to this place, rather then go the 7 minutes to several places closer to me.

I’m going for five stars for the Buona Special pizza. Described as “everything we have on it, but let us know what you don’t like.” Terrific crust. Perfectly baked. Just really, really great old school pizza. I mean, look at the picture. You don’t get pizza like this often. And I’m a New Yorker.

I have been coming here for years! Always send people here and tell them how good it is. I’m sorry but it has been going down hill. This picture will the story. They are only covering half the pizza with cheese and toppings. And the pizza has been inconsistent in thickness and flavor.
