Buranko Cafe is a fusion Asian restaurant and bar serving comfort food from various countries including Japan, South Korea, Thailand, and more. We went in because we saw a lot of cool chairs, and it had an “outdoor patio” vibe, although it was inside. They don’t turn on the air conditioning, so it may be too warm for most people. There’s a children’s play area as well, so this could be good for families.

120% recommended! We have been in Portland for almost a week now and this is the best meal we’ve had (and we had some really good ones). We ordered the Asian Salad and Peanut Sauce, the Japanese Curry with Fried Chicken, and the Spicy Korean Chicken. Every food item was excellent and we didn’t leave anything behind. We also ordered 4 different cocktails, they are all very creative, and they look, taste, and smell amazing! The best part is that, even though the food and drinks are of high quality, everything is very affordable. Would definitely come back if given the chance.

So good!! Had the larb poke and peach elderflower fizz. The poke was so flavorful and good, and it was perfectly portioned too. Atmosphere/decor/vibes were perfect, plus great service and music.

Really cool spot. Fusion done well. Drinks and food were great. No complaints at all and if I were in the area it would be a regular spot.

Very cute and friendly restaurant! We ordered a tea and the Blueberry Fizz, which was really yummy. We got crab rangoons as appetizers hahah and it was not bad at all. For entrees, we got the Million Dollar Tom Kha Ramen and Beef Bulgogi. I definitely recommend the ramen, the soup was so delicious and they actually give you a good amount of shrimp! The beef bulgogi rice was yummy, but the meat was a bit dry in my opinion. They also have a kid-friendly area for playtime, which is good for families!

Lovely and amazing spot! The food is delicious and the drinks are great too. My husband and I really appreciated the kid area too, it was the first grown up meal we’ve had together as a family in a really long time and it was really special.

Fantastic food and cocktails. We were especially happy to see that they have a dedicated area for young children to play- see the photos! The menu is great and very reasonable price-wise. Cocktails around 12 to 16 dollars, bites or starters around 6 to 8 dollars, mains from 13 to 20dollars. Great portions across the lot. The cocktails were also delicious.

I stumbled across this café/bar while on the Max and decided to get off and try it out. I was pleasantly surprised at finding such an unexpected gem. They did not have many pastries on the menu but I enjoyed the roti, which was made according to my preferences(I’m lactose intolerant). I had it with drip coffee because they did not have an Americano. However, the service was nice and the staff were efficient. I noticed the subtle Thai themes and is definitely a place I will visit again to explore their offerings.
