We stopped in here for lunch on a road trip across MN. The food was really good. My bf got a burger and I got the black bean burger and both were very tasty. I think what really made it a good experience though was our waitress; I didn’t get her name but she had a really spirited personality. I’d recommend for lunch–food was good, decor not so much–but that’s ok.

While down in SE Minnesota visiting my brother, we decided to have breakfast at Burdy’s. My dad was a frequent customer there, and they named a skillet breakfast after him, “Howard’s Mess”. It was sooo good. Coffee was awesome. Service was good as well.

Food was okay. But if I’m spending the kind of money I did I expect a plate that has more than a pinch of fries. Really disappointed with how downhill this place has gone. It use to be my favorite stop. Unfortunately I’ve made my last stop there.

Great little find in Peterson, MN. While staying in the area, we were recommended to try this place out. It was great for breakfast. Your typical small town cafe with locals hanging out having coffee all morning.

Though we had to wait to order and a bit long for the food because of being short of staff it was worth it. My sister-in-law and I had two different turkey sandwiches that we talked about all day! And they also have great pies. The waitress was by herself. She was quite the hustler. Note that if you are biking they are currently closed on Wednesdays. Would definitely stop again.

Awesome brunch meal, I had the Gabe Skillet with added green and red peppers, mushrooms and onions…otherwise it comes with sausage bits, cheese, scrambled eggs and hash browns. Along with your choice of toast or 2 nice sized pancakes. I chose the pancakes and it was delicious. Steve Burdey, the cook and part owner, did a great job making everything, it was just what I was looking for. The waitress was busy little bee, who worked her butt off seating everyone, getting their orders taken and making sure to keep up with everyone’s demands. I can’t remember the waitresses name, but she has always been a hard worker and does a great job. Kristin Burdey, part owner, waitress and baker…also does a fantastic job on all the pies and deserts, always homemade by her. Not too many other cafe’s can say they make an abundance of different pies and other deserts to treat an army. Great staff, great place and great food. Keep up the awesome job Burdey’s Cafe

Not a fancy place, but it’s clean some of the nicest people you want to meet work there, and damn the pies that they make! I would travel more than a hundred miles I do just to go there

Friday nights are very busy at this place. They are fish dinner on Fridays. I had the boiled cod and it was very good. Service was a little slow but I attributed it to how busy it was. There are so many pies that sounded and looked so good so I got one to go and it was yummy.

One of the best mom and pops restaurants in SE Minn. It’s a typical early morning coffee place for card players as well

Me and my significant other and daughter heard of this place from a email I got and we drove over 2 hours to try it. It was amazing and the burger with the gravy was sooo good. The pie was delicious and the cooks wife makes amazing pies! We will definitely take the drive again and visit again.
