This was my second visit to burger barn. I just can’t imagine a better burger- sure there are different options out there but as far as the burger itself this is about as good as you could find anywhere in the USA. The “restaurant “ is actually a roadside stand so come prepared to tailgate or eat in your car if you’re caught in poor weather, otherwise it’s picnic tables only. It’s a cash only kinda place but the mobile gas station just down the street has an atm ($2.75 fee). Oh, almost forgot to mention the fries – you will need one size larger than you thought – if you try to cut calories here you will regret it because it’s that good! For special burgers I tried the goat which is great but honestly the good old fashioned bacon cheeseburger gets my vote, I could take that over and over!

Worst experience ever, waiting for almost an 30 minutes for them to take my order, and then almost an hour for my food, it does not take an hour to cook a burger. They also didn’t seem to care at all that I had waited so long. Probably never coming back here again even though Ive been coming here a lot over the past 5 years living in Johnson. Food is usually good, but this time it was definitely not worth how much time I wasted waiting.

Always had a pleasant dining experience here. Outdoor dining only. picnic tables and umbrellas provide shade. Food is amazing! Staff is friendly. They are busy at times. Cash only. Don’t know about restrooms but there’s nearby gas stations.

They don’t answer there phones on purpose so you always have to go there, place your order and then wait for your order to be ready. However this was the BEST burger I have ever had!!! I got the Nuts about Thai and it was soo good. The ingredients all fresh. Like crunchy fresh not soggy and all mushy. The peanut sauce is amazing. They have so many burgers to try I have to go back before leaving. They don’t answer there phone but the burgers are SUCH worth the wait! A specialty burger for under $10 ($9.50 after tax). You can’t beat that anywhere!! CASH ONLY!

A huge variety of unique burger flavors! From Taco to Thai, Ruben to classic. Excellent beef, large meaty burgers, grilled perfectly, and great flavors. Definitely worth a stop.

Stopped here on a whim while traveling, was definitely the right decision! Food was delicious, there were so many burgers on the menu it was hard to decide. The prices appear a little high, but the portions justify the cost. There is some nice outdoor seating available.
