Visited on holiday from the UK. I’m veggie but hate any beyond-type imitation meat burgers and also don’t like the other usual option of spicy bean burgers. The veggie patty at Burger Stevens is amazing, definitely my favourite veggie burger ever! Fries & fancy sauce are also top tier. Hope I can come back one day!

The burger here is just okay. With Bar Bar’s iconic smash burger down the street, this one doesn’t stack up that well. The bun feels cheaper and the price of the burger itself is a few dollars too high for what you get.

I love this place and always get great service here. Today I came in and ordered my usual because I do come here often and just like always it was amazing. The staff has always been kind to me and treated me with respect. I’m seeing a review of a girl complaining about not getting her gluten free bun and I was here during this encounter she was deliberately treating the staff like they were stupid because SHE ordered her food without a gluten free bun (didn’t mention she is gluten intolerant) and proceeded to freak out on the employees because she wanted them to give her a whole new meal with a gluten free bun for free. She did not have any solutions other than getting a whole new meal for free after she just ate her whole other meal. I decided to go to the bar right after I got my food and I heard her telling her friends shortly after that they all need to write bad reviews for this business because they didn’t give her a whole free meal. Honestly it made me so mad I wanted to freak out on her. People don’t realize how badly these reviews affect small businesses and writing a review out of spite is just childish. I just wanted everyone to know this place is amazing and has always treated me great.

If I could leave a zero I would. Cashier was incredibly rude and refused to change my order after it was placed. He refused to switch my bun to a gluten free one after I mistakingly forgot to ask for one. I offered multiple solutions to the problem, all of which included me PAYING for the bun and he refused all of them, saying “it is what it is, not my problem.” The burger itself was very mediocre and definitely not worth the cost or the time it took to get it. After reading other reviews it seems this is a very normal experience, so I just won’t be returning or recommending.
