Now more than 40 years later Burns Original BBQ has steadily grown its customer base and is still creating great food out of the original and still standing building that Roy Burns Sr. started it all in, and the delicious scent of barbecue from our wood smoke pits still drift in the streets and passers- but can’t help themselves. Being known and voted as #1 in Houston for barbecue we continue making and serving great barbecue including our signature rib sandwich and loaded baked potato. The partnership with Kroger in 2021 has allowed the Burns Original BBQ brand to expand to locations all over the Great Houston Area! Each location takes pride in presenting that Burns Original BBQ traditional meats and sides.

Fun times at the opening of Burns BBQ Bistro inside the Pearland Shadow Creek Kroger. Arrived around 1130a and the line wasn’t long so I did a little returned to a super long line, my mistake. They kept the fed with free samples of cake, cookies and lemonade. There’s was a lot of excitement with Burns and Kroger personnel visiting with the people in line. Vibrant. I ordered ribs and brisket. Both quite tasty. Anthony Bourdain (RIP) is featured and celebrated at this outpost. I will return to try other items; except, maybe the desserts HAHAHA .

Good food, friendly staff who want to make you happy. Love the link sausages both regular and housemade. Don’t get me started on that macaroni n cheese which was cheesy and house seasoned. Generous portions on everything especially the sausages. Sorry, no photos because we ate it all up before it was thought about.

One of the worst. So I’ve been waiting a couple of years to try Burns barbecue because the north side is too far for me and I’m never on that side so I decided to try the one in Pearland. I ordered a 3 meat potato with ribs, brisket, sausage (tasted good) but the other meats was very dry and unseasoned and the meat was not tender enought it was highly disappointing especially spending so much money for a meal. I’ll never ever again go there.

I wish I would have took pictures before we ate but the dirty rice was delicious the baked beans were magnificent The only thing that I did not love was the potato salad but to each their own. I also had the spicy sausage and brisket The spicy sausage could have been spicier but it was still good and the brisket was tender and juicy I will definitely be back

I decided to try this place because I was already shopping in Kroger. I tried the ribs and to my surprise they were very mediocre. They were not tender and was cold. The sides didn’t look appealing at all. There are much better places in Houston to get great bbq from.

The clerk needed more training. He took a very long time to take my order, and to set me all up. The brisket unfortunately was very dry and chewy, But the barbecue sauce made it a little better.
