The Castro family opened El Patio Mexican Restaurant on Nov. 10, 1999. By 2008, the popular Water Street spot had expanded with a modern tequila bar and a quick burrito service that brought the Mexican classic back to its roots: Delivery.The burrito first became popular in 1910 when Ciudad Juarez – also known as Chihuaha – would wrap his food in big, warm flour tortillas to keep it fresh as he went out for a day’s work. It quickly caught on and Chihuaha began delivering his now famous food.

We walked in, seated ourselves, and the waitress came over with an attitude. She wasn’t very pleasant until the end of our stay where she acted a little nicer. I ordered a margarita on the rocks and it came out tasting flat, I took it up to the bar and they gave me a free frozen one, which tasted better. However, the food was delicious and makes me want to come back!

Great food but really terrible service. I’ve had issues the last few times I’ve ordered delivering and this time was really the last straw. I had to call them multiple times after it didn’t arrive and finally an hour after it was supposed to arrive, they just told me they can’t deliver to me and were going to refund me. Really garbage customer service. Used to be the best place to get a burrito in town but it’s just not worth the headache anymore.

at their in the past it was good but when i went in super loud music really loud and then the cook in the back was vaping while cooking in the store. call the lady before going in to order and she sound annoyed and rude very quick to hang up even though i just had questions. this isn’t the worst part i felt sick the day after eating the food. I wonder why. I should of avoided this place from the red flags but i already order the food so i felt obligated. I regret it.

It’s a restaurant in a college town, so manage your expectations. I’ve always had the best experience ordering in person then getting to go, usually a burrito express. I would choose this place over Chipotle or Qdoba

Got lunch with my sister, it was pretty dead at first for 3pm on a Saturday. Then came the college students. If you’re cool with noise the food is worth it. Staff is nice. And can’t forget about the margaritas, can’t find a better margarita in EC. Plus being on water st they’re open late. Getting a burrito late at night is so yummy
