The food was absolutely incredible!! So authentic and flavorful. It was apparent everything was hand and home made. It’s inconspicuously tucked away in flag foods but don’t underestimate its quality. It’s so far the best home grown Mexican food I’ve had in Minneapolis. The place is owned by a lovely husband and wife duo with their son, and their so grateful and welcoming when you come in! They were so nice and gave me samples of all their home made salsas, the yellow spicy salsa was the the best one. The red very spicy salsa was dangerously hot and delicious. Great daily deals (posted outside), use clover directly to see those deals cuz I think google ordering doesn’t reflect it. Can’t wait to go back!!

This place has amazing food! I’ve tried steak tacos and a steak burrito so far and the steak is always perfectly seasoned and so good. The staff is also super friendly every time I’ve been they make you feel so welcomed.

Hands down the most flavorful, authentic Mexican food you’ll find in Minnesota!! I had loaded steak tacos blasted with a mouthful of deliciousness. My husband had a burrito al pastor; he raved about the seasoning, the freshness of the ingredients, and the balance of fillings! We highly, highly recommend you eat here. Latinos approved

I never leave reviews but this place is INCREDIBLE and really deserves it. My boyfriend and I have been coming here consistently for the last 4 months and it’s always amazing. Highly recommend!! The food is next level good!! My go to is the taco plate (chicken) with the avocado salsa. The owner is super friendly and so kind! He sent us on our way with all of the homemade salsas they offer just so we could try. If you are in South Minneapolis you definitely need to try Burritos El Patron!!

A wonderful addition to the neighborhood! We have been waiting years for a place like this to move into this corner of the neighborhood. We ordered enchiladas and a chimichanga, which most quick taco shops don’t carry. Both were hot and delish. I appreciate that the green sauce is actually spicy and not just “Minnesota Spice.” Also the black beans are clearly made with real whole beans in the best kind of way. We will be back to try the rest of the menu.
