I always seen the store passing by so I decided to finally stop and try them. Always excited to try a new cuisine. As soon as you walk in and interact with the people working their it sucked all the excitement out. The food was bland. I couldn’t even eat more than two bites and threw it out and they are pricey for such a small place. Sometimes customer service just makes up for the food and you feel like giving a place second try, but not here. I don’t know what it is about these Spanish speaking business in Carteret and their lack of interaction with English speaking customers.

Great large platters and perfect for catering. The favorite in our family is the roast pork, empanadas, and yellow rice. Rotisserie chicken is also excellent and great for picky eaters.

I would go to this place when I’m in a rush and always felt something off, like their work is sloppy meaning unsanitary and put together food when you come in in a rush, when you been called to place an order to pick up. I came in and the tall older gentleman (cooker) was eating his food on a customer table while my bread was burnt black on the toaster lol it’s so funny really that confirmed for me that it’s too messy and no gloves nothing, nice people but bad customer service, will not be coming again, I’m going to Perth amboy to get my food from now on.

Personal experience here. I speak Spanish some but understand more than I speak. I walked in behind a lady at 7:12 pm the employee asked her if she had put in a phone order she said no I haven’t. Employee asked what she’d like.lady orders and gets food Lady pays. I get to the counter. I ask for a menu in English. Employee says one moment so she could get someone who understands English no problem I waited maybe 30 seconds before another lady tells me they are closed. Mind you door says open till 9pm menu says open till 9pm Google says open till 8pm.
