Did an online order for 1/2 slab of ribs and some smoked wings. The ribs were just ridiculously salty. I sadly had to throw some of it away as it was inedible. The wings had very little seasoning, but were okay. I should’ve just bought a bone or 2 to try first. I really wanted to like the food, but it was a no go. I hate wasting money. Maybe it was just an off day, idk.

This place was recommended by a friend who owned a BBQ Restaurant as the best she has ever had. I have to now agree. Unassuming little spot, great BBQ ambiance. Just wanted to try the pulled pork and stew, because if they don’t get that right, nothing else can be exceptional. Absolutely the most tender pulled pork I have ever had. Replaces any other BBQ in my reviews as the best sandwich ever. Stew was a bit “tomato rich” for my tastes but the sandwich is amazing. Can’t wait to take friends and try a dinner!

The best Bbq in the Auburn Opelika area, we loved everything we had, the staff was friendly lunch was amazing, we decided to get meals to go so we could have some Alabama BBQ when we got back to Florida! We will be back in the future!

Butcher Paper BBQ is doing things! I got the pulled BBQ plate with what I think was smoked Mac N cheese(delish) and a side of Brunswick stew with their mustard and sweet sauce… delish! Friendly staff and a nice covered area outside to sit and enjoy your meal. Hands down I was very pleased and if in the area again I will try their ribs or/and their brisket which was recommended to me. Just FYI they were open before 11 this day(not sure if that is the norm) but I was on a bit of a time crunch and it worked out perfectly. Can’t wait to come back!

Small, locally owned BBQ restaurant. Fresh food, great workers, and local atmosphere. Food is always delicious. Portions are big! You have to try the smoked Mac N Cheese!

The Sevice was excellent however the food missed the mark for me. The BBQ sauce is very important, it was a little too watery. I tried 3 different kinds, all had the same texture. The baked beans and purple coleslaw were ok. Most likely I will not visit again, but give them a try if nothing else you will get good customer service.

Fantastic Southern BBQ joint! If ya get near or in Opelika, you gotta go! Tiny place with all the charm of an ol’ fashioned Pit House. Spicy sauce is the bomb and my favorite on both pork and beef. Slaw is just the right compliment to each sandwich. Wish I had more time to spend in this place. If you live close, get by and stay often! Thank you!

First time here. I will definitely be back. I’m a pulled pork sandwich fanatic. This is one is really, really good. Just enough bark to give it a crunch without overpowering the actual flavor of the meat. The vinegar sauce was excellent. Highly recommend.
