Really good BBQ, sauces were amazing. Restaurant was really clean, wasn’t too busy. Sweet potato casserole is a must. Even the plainest of BBQ is great with a good sauce. This wasn’t the case being the BBQ was delicious. But the sauce was really good. The rolls are very good. Chicken tenders are some of the best I’ve ate. Several sweets on the menu as well. And daily specials are on the menu. Hushpuppies, that’s another story. They’re good but small. If your a Hushpuppy person, order the 12 for a side. Disappointingly small, but I love Hushpuppies. All in all it was a really good meal. Portions could be a bit larger for what I’m used to, but a solid 4 stars.

Very disappointed in our meal. We haven’t been in years and use to love it here but it has really changed since our last visit. The onion rings are no longer breaded like the chicken tenders use to be. Chicken tenders and potato wedges didn’t seem to be freshly cooked. The chicken tenders were dry and tuff like they had been cooked awhile & sat under a heat light. We went at lunch & there were only three others in there with us so the food should have been fresh. The only good thing was the service. Staff was very friendly. Definitely won’t be back.

I’ve been here a handful of times despite how often I’m in the neighboring stores. Their slaw is the best thing, and it’s very consistent. But overall, the food is just OK but never crave worthy for me, and I love BBQ. I wish they would step it up a notch, I want to love this place.

The food was great but I would suggest they give out forks to eat with. All they had were sporks and it was extremely hard to ear a salad with it. Also trying to dig chicken off the bone was difficult using a spork. Everything we had was fresh and tasted great. Definitely want to go back and try some of the other menu items. The amount I was charged was a little off from what was on the menu above the register by just a little.

What on earth has happened here? This used to be one of our favorite places to eat in the town of Morganton. We tried it twice, once last week and again this week hoping that last week was just an off week. It was horrible both times We could have thrown the bread and broke a window, maybe got 4or 5 pieces of pulled chicken and they called it a sandwich, the sweet potato casserole might as well been charcoaled casserole, everything was horrible! Nearly $50 straight in the trash. I remember when Ms. Tallent made the buns there; she was proud and they were delicious. Apparently they aren’t no longer using her recipe.

Ordered combo and asked for a drink and a ice cup. Combos come with drink, and they used ice cup for drink with combo, and charged me 2.49 for drink. Food not what it used to be before they made changes and all $5.00 deals are gone. Used to be a great place to take the family. Not anymore.

Well, I have to say I was incredibly surprised look like a fast food, barbecue style restaurant, but excellent food. The barbecue was nicely smoked, had a nice Burnt ends mixed. The bun was a surprise. The sourdough bun was excellent. I had potato wedges, nicely done with a good coating crispy.Hush Puppies were a little overdone but a good sweet mixture of cornbread and onion. And the price was fantastic.

The girl working the drive through took my payment and had the audacity to say “it will refund” when it never did so guess to paid $20 for nothing in return? Then when i went inside after to try to find out more she gives a lady (her mother or grandmother) a bag with my food in it. Basically she made me pay for food she gave away for free. A unsatisfied customer who will spread the word about that dumb worker so no one else gets scammed. Its a business what the hell is going on here.
