The Butler’s Pantry Trackside, located inside the Far Hills Train Station, has served Homemade American Cuisine since 1986. Our family-owned restaurant is operated daily by two (and sometimes three) generations of our family.

Cute place in an old train station. Very noisy. The food is very good and reasonably priced. Servings are large. Fried scallops and shoestring fries were both excellent. There are only 2 servers who are very pleasant but busy doing everything, so service is slow. Certainly worth a visit if you are not in a hurry and remember at dinner time that they close at 7pm and they get very busy at lunch time.

The place is interestingly in an old train station, which gives it quite the attraction. It’s very small inside but comfortable. I only had breakfast which wasn’t anything to brag about. Good place to stop for a bite if you are in the area.

Such a great place . Literally a. Train station that is a place to get breakfast lunch and dinner ! Cute inside with a friendly staff . Food is nice and easy . I read other reviews and was not disappointed! The Hungarian mushroom soup is absolutely delicious. I had the balsamic chicken salad which was also very good. My husband had broasted fish & chips which he devoured.

A favorite breakfast-lunch spot after a walk in the neighboring park. I drive/eat all around this state for family and work, and there’s no place quite like the BP. Inside what was formerly a waiting room for the station, it has at atmosphere I like. Clean and unpretentious. Solid service. Consistently great food—eggs, quiche, pancakes, you name it. The mushroom soup was homemade-old-world-decadence in a bowl. Try them for dinner too.
