Located inside Lenexa Public Market, you will find some of the tastiest treats, pastries, and sweets! The most popular item to order at Butterfield’s Bakery are the macaroons. I decided to go with the Creme Brulee and the Peanut Butter Oatmeal Fudge Bar. The Creme Brulee had a perfect creamy consistency underneath a thin layer of caramelized sugar. They even caramelize the creme brulee right in front of you! Butterfield’s Bakery also has fresh cookies, cupcakes, cheesecakes, loaves of bread, and creamy milkshakes. Delicious and colorful sandwiches at Butterfield’s Bakery & Market. Located inside of Lenexa City Center’s Public Market, this eatery is one you’ll want to try for yourself. The Firebird Fried Chicken Sandwich was one of the best fried chicken sandwiches I’ve had. This sandwich came loaded with a homemade piece of fried chicken and some tasty purple veggies, which gave it a nice colorful look. This sandwich had a nice kick to it, which is something I look for in a chicken sandwich. Came with a side of salted chips. The waffle fries were very nice when dipped in ranch. The chicken salad sandwich was also quite delicious. I would recommend Butterfield’s Bakery for those looking for some homemade food. I’ll definitely be back.

So many different kinds of macaroons… So hard to decide because they are all so good! The Nutella almond croissant is kind of dry and hard, maybe it’ll taste better if is fresh.

OMGoodness this place. We came for the macaroons and left with several yummy treats. Also had the B&G, the sausage gravy was good and flavorful but didn’t care much for the biscuits. Almost like a cornbread, and a little dry for my liking. My daughter LOVED the macaroons and the variety they have. We’ll be back!

One of my favorite places since moving here a few months ago! Everything is delicious and makes it so hard to decide what to get every time. The grilled cheese and soup is my favorite, their shakes are great, and of course all of the baked goods are incredible. We’ve splurged on one too many macarons, with no regrets! Brunch was tasty! Breakfast sandwich had plenty of egg and bacon that went well with the brioche. Potatoes were tasty but could’ve been cooked a little bit longer. Definitely worth a try!

True to their name, Butterfield’s food is very buttery. I ordered the 4 cheese grilled cheese with tomato soup. The tomato soup was very heavy with thick pasta (I believe) and oil or butter in it. The sandwich was huge, but lacked flavor.

We tried several bakery items and they were all good. The little food court at the Lenexa Market is cute, so I am glad that this bakery is actually good quality food, to live up to the hype of the location. I’m sure the sandwiches and stuff are also good but we are happy to stick with dessert.
