We came to visit from seeing this restaurant on tv, but wasn’t good enough to bother visiting again. Lots of parking. The building had good seating and was clean. Customer service was good and the owner was very welcoming and nice. The brisket, sausage, and ribs were good (they left the membrane on the ribs so it was harder to eat but the flavor was good). We had all five sides and the the only thing that was good was the potato salad. The other sides and the sauce were not worth getting. Bread was communal style, so we passed on that. If all you want is meat then it’s a good place to eat. Otherwise, there is plenty of better Texas BBQ around.

Spent a week in the area. This was our family’s favorite. We’re not BBQ aficionados or anything but love good eats. I figured seeing the local cops ate there it was good or they had free donuts… either way.

Stopped in on a recommendation from a friend, and it definitely hit the spot. The atmosphere feels like the small town meetup place for locals. I thought the smoked chicken and ribs were better than the brisket – which was pretty good too. This might not be the best BBQ you’ve ever had in your life, but it definitely represents small town Texas BBQ extremely well. Next time I’ll probably skip the sides to save room for dessert.

I was in Kerrville and gave a lot of thought to which BBQ place to try. I’m very happy I chose Buzzie’s! Real Texas Smoked BBQ! They had all my favorites but I went with Brisket, Ribs, and Sausage. First off the Brisket was done just right, passed the pull test and the flavor was spot on. The ribs were very tender and had a really great smoked flavor and the sausage was as good as sausage gets, it was absolutely delicious. The staff were all friendly and helpful, they wanted to make sure everything was just right for us. The actual restaurant was very comfortable and relaxing! I really wish I lived down the street. I would be here all the time. So if your visiting or passing through you have to stop! If you live near by this is the only BBQ place you need to consider. So obviously if you’re reading this your one of those so go now! I’m telling you I wouldn’t do you wrong, I don’t joke when it comes to food!

This is the second worst BBQ I’ve ever had. We had the sausage, brisket, chicken, turkey, and ribs. They were all very dry and difficult to eat without drowning in mediocre BBQ sauce. The sides were also pretty bland. I’d like to say we ordered wrong but we ordered pretty much everything on the menu. I had really hoped for better.

Rib special on Wednesday, dry the end piece was like cardboard. Beans were good but portion was tiny, lots of potato salad which I didn’t care for. Website not complete, can’t even find a menu found a picture elsewhere. Haven’t been back in a while, I remember why.

Beef and turkey were just OK. Turkey didn’t taste much smoke. Brisket a bit dry. Sauce was very tomato-ie, like the Carolina’s. Less like Texas. Service was fast and friendly. Great ambiance inside.

Just stopped here yesterday on my way back to the San Antonio airport. So glad I happened by it. Unassuming, nothing fancy, but wow … I’ve never had such moist dry rub ribs. I definitely took advantage of the Wednesday all you can eat ribs plate even though I felt pretty stuff after the first helping. Just so good.

Want that hill country dining? You have to stop by Buzzie’s BBQ. Family owned and operated this BBQ is some of the best BBQ in Texas. The staff is always friendly. The slice brisket is my personal favorite.
