Was looking for some soul food in Stockton and this place definitely hit the spot! We did not know what we were expecting when we went in, but we are glad we decided to check it out. I ordered the chicken, yams and greens, while my brother ordered some pork ribs with sides and of Mac and cheese and potato salad. Everything we had was very delicious and you can totally feel that it was made with love and care. The staff were very welcoming and friendly and the place had a homey environment. The prices were reasonably for some much needed food for the soul. We will definitely be returning in the future! If you’re in a rush, order ahead. If not, it is for sure worth the wait with every bite you take! Feel the love, feel the soul, then this place is a must try for you.

I ordered the five piece ribs two sides and peach cobbler. The peach cobbler was brown never seen any peach cobbler look like this. And they said they made all their food the same day I bit into the rib and it was not good at all to where I thought it was old but maybe it was because it was pork ribs and not beef ribs but it was not to my liking. I did not finish my food and I would not recommend this place but I can’t say their customer service was on point.

Great customer service. Food tastes great. Their Collared Greens with Cabbage is the boom. Their Ribs are so tender. Their BBQ Baked Beans are wonderful. The best Soulfood restaurant I’ve been to in awhile.

Some REAL Qaulity Homestyle BBQ Food!!!, so much Taste i was SUPRISED!! The Owners are very welcoming, friendly, great Service. The sides Macaroni is the best ive had in years and that Potato Salad is Firrrreee!!! The Meat i had- Ribs and Chicken Legs… A1! “Dammm, i ate till i couldnt eat no more. Our first time in and the food was pretty good. The lady that helped us seemed really nice and the place was clean. The only things I dis liked was the location and the price for greens, it was overpriced in my opinion. I loved the soul food restaurant that was downtown but they closed and have been looking for good soul food. I’m glad Stockton is opening up more soul food restaurants. We will be back.

I came hear a few time and the family was very nice and made me feel at home. There fool is delicious and I Will be going back. I came one time when they were about to close and the nice lady had given the rest of the food to this hungry guy. It made me feel good inside to see that they have compassion for people less unfortunate. “God bless u guys!”
