Ravinia is known as a bit of a melting pot in the heart of Chicago’s North Shore. As such, we felt it was the perfect first home of BWB Shakes, our eclectic take-out concept focused on an assortment of fresh, local, and healthy choices that meet the needs of a wide set of hungry families and couples.
All of our made from scratch recipes stem from the vision of our chef and a focus on approachable, family-oriented comfort food that keeps well in a take-out format. While Bowls, Wings, Burgers are our focus – we hope you will indulge us as we push the envelope a bit to bring a little edge to your meals and hopefully a longing to come back and enjoy us many, many more times. My wife and I just spent the weekend in Chicago for her birthday and showed up shortly after close. The owner informed us he was closed but could make us a milkshake which he did. It was the best strawberry milkshake I’ve ever had! After talking to us about the menu, we left and came back the next day. We got the carne asada fries, truffle fries, Nashville hot chicken sandwich, and BWB smash burger. Also a can of what looked like local cherry soda. Everything was some of the best sandwiches and fries we’ve ever had! Highly recommend! Food is great, they have a bar (but we don’t drink), Brian is great, definitely check it out. We will be back every time we come to Chicago!

The food was absolutely incredible! Delicious and fresh and the lemonade! Omg! Was so good and i love a good lemonade this was hands down one of thee best I’ve had! …we attended the botanic gardens and looked for a restaurant that was close to grab a bite to eat …I’m so happy I chose this place! We live an hour away and would drive there again! It’s just that good! Not to mention the chef and staff they were absolutely delightful very friendly and helpful I give this place and the Ravinia (which is next door they own this too )a 5star all the way! If you haven’t tried this place Whether you live in the area or not you won’t be disappointed

Such a great place and lovely staff! We got the BWB Smash Burger, Beyond Meat Burger (always a treat to find good vegetarian options), fries and a traditional chocolate malt and everything was delicious, good quality and service was impeccable. Really lovely and friendly staff. Will be making this a regular place to eat for sure 🙂

Small little takeout place, with a couple tables out front. This also serves as a kitchen for Ravinia Brewery. Great smash burgers, fries and shakes. I even got a decent salad with some Mediterranean flavored chicken breast on top.

GREAT carry-out place. Over the top flavor in the more familiar items (like the burgers, wings and shakes). The more creative stuff (like the falafel bowl and the carne asada fries) strike a fantastic balance between tasty new combinations and tried-and-true crowd pleasers.

out of multiple menu items, gave us the wrong order, and the cheese sauce was really bad. Did not taste good at all. The only thing that was edible out of our $50 order was chicken tenders and ice cream – which is pretty hard to mess up.
