Stopped in for drinks and the scenery. Nice place, the view was nice overlooking the ocean. It’s a good walk be prepared when going here. You have to pay to walk the pier. Neat place to stop in and have a drink. If it’s cool out make sure to have a long sleeve shirt, especially if the wind’s blowing.

Great views near a nice pier on the ocean. Great drink and beer menu. Our 12” supreme pizza was decent. Just could have been hotter.

This place is set on the pier, basically a shelter with a bar and outdoor seating on the perimeter. A fun place to enjoy lunch looking out over the Gulf. Ahi tuna was competitive with much higher end restaurants. Cuban would have been better with more of everything. But still good. Pay to park at the state beach lot.

I feel a need to post this review due to the current reviews not representing the quality of the food at all. I hate to say it but this food is like gas station quality at restaurant prices. I’m not sure they have an actual kitchen but you can see a concession stand across from the restaurant. We ordered tuna dip, seafood nachos, a redneck cuban sandwich and a pina colada. Perhaps I’m not familiar with the tuna dips in Alabama but it really is just like tuna salad. It was canned tuna with Worcestershire sauce and mayo served with packaged crackers. I was expecting fresh tuna or fresh tuna chunks and this wasn’t it. The nachos tasted like the regular generic chips with generic nacho sauce topped with itty bitty shrimp, some crawfish tails, bland pulled pork and it did not taste great at all. The sandwich however was the best thing, but I wouldn’t ride home about it nor go here for it. My pina colada tasted just like a slush. On our way out I noticed the bar had a sign that stated 1.5 oz of alcohol will be in the drinks unless asked otherwise. So perhaps that was it, but I didn’t taste an ounce of rum in my pina colada at all. If you’re vacationing, looking for seafood. This ain’t it. This is like a quick junk food place to grab a bite or a beer after fishing on the Pier all day. The kids ate this fine but I left hungry. We spent $70 bucks here, this food wasn’t not worth that price tag.

What a great beach restaurant! Setting is perfect and the food casual, but tasty. It is a perfect combination for spending the day in that beautiful Gulf State park beach.

I loved the location of this bar/grill. It’s located at the beginning of the Gulf State Park pier. We had to go to the bar counter to order. The bartender was less than friendly, and the drinks are overpriced and not very good. The strawberry daiquiri looked so good but it’s all pre-made and does not taste very good. We stood in line for 20 minutes to get our drinks. There is a big bucket on the counter that says the workers are only paid by tips. Besides the poor service and overpriced drinks, being able to sit along the railing and watch for sea life was amazing.
