While travelling, we prefer to support local businesses over large food chains. This local family diner did not disappoint. The owner of the restaurant is also the cook. 81 years old and still working!!! She and her son were extremely welcoming and attentive to their customers.

An old time diner. Brings you back to the good old times. Small, only fits around 50 or so people, but indeed does this place have a lot of love. French toast, bacon, eggs, coffee, all so great. The chocolate milk and orange juice are delightful. Staff and employees are kind, passionate and personable. There’s a 10% off military discount. This restaurant is great for the whole family. I’m sure to come back soon.

Delicious food. We had the breakfast bowls topped w sausage gravy and they were amazing. Usually I don’t finish my food and my better half finishes for me, but there was nothing left to finish. Son had French toast that he said was as good as mine and grandson had a Pancake. He enjoyed it too. It was a busy place w lots of local flair and people. Great place to eat.

OMG…. I can not put into words how amazing this little restaurant is. We visited Massanutten Resort recently and wanted a home cooked meal. We found this place on google and WOW. My husband and I got the breakfast bowl and the boys got biscuit and gravy. We all four devoured our meals. Great prices, best homecooked breakfast we have ever had, and friendly service. We will make the 4hr trip back, just to eat here again.

Nowhere have I ever experienced such a connection to the “good folks” who make up the heart of this great nation. Like a trip back in time we sat and listened to the locals discuss the matters of the day in their simple uncomplicated lives. They seemed so relaxed and happy it restored my faith in man. The 3 page menu had one page dedicated to our lord Jesus . The food was good fresh and wholesome , served with a sincere smile and a hearty ” how y’all doing this morning?”. I highly recommend anyone traveling through the Elkton Harrisonburg area to make the effort to treat yourself to this experience. You will not regret it. Peace be with you.

Like people would say “middle of nowhere” ! The food is great, hospitality is warm and experience is all you think about, when you think of real country ! Placed a few miles from Massanutten resort this place is must go for breakfast while you there! This place is on my top list to enjoy quality food while at Massanutten! I absolutely love this place.Its like stepping back in time when small town diners were it before fast food I can always expect the same quality country food everytime I go. Nice place to meet up and have coffee with friends especially if your a local because the walls are full of Old photos of the town and people even a small town legend or two. If you want to go to a real small town diner with an old time atmosphere this is the place to be!
