Dom Plays Poorly
CYOC is simply the best! My wife and I live in Fox Lake, so we were regulars at that location, but now that it’s closed down, we make the drive to Waukegan because it’s just that good and the staff is incredible. I had been on the waiting list for their seasoning(also the best), so I asked the woman here if they had any to sell, and she said they didn’t, but then proceeded to go in the back and fill up an entire cheesecake container with seasoning FOR FREE. Like I said, the staff has always been top notch. If the wonderful woman that helped me sees this, please know that my wife is going to absolutely lose her mind when I bring this seasoning home! If you’ve been on the fence about trying them, don’t wait, just go.

I decided I wanted to try this location. On a Tuesday evening about five p.m. This location was really clean. The young lady that took my order was very nice and patient. I didn’t know what I wanted. I decided to try the Chicken Philly Cheesesteak Supreme combo meal. It was kind of expensive but it was so worth it. Cooked fresh to order, plenty of French fries and a Dr. Pepper.

With all honesty, the food was better than what I expected. I got the Philly cheesesteak fries and this meal was rich in flavor. Fries were seasoned to perfection. They use quality steak! Veggies and cheese was fresh. Will be back.

Just had a chicken Philly from there, as I was eating it I noticed something hard and it was a small piece of plastic. I called up there and of course no manager there just a bunch kids working. Fries were super cold as well, this will be the last time I eat there. Please hire adults because these kids will run tour business in the ground.

I can only speak to the kids’ chicken tenders meal, as that’s all we ordered, but they impressed me enough to write a review. They were made with fresh chicken and hand-battered. They were an amazing bargain for the price. Service was top-notch, too.

They haven’t fixed their menu options on doordash for the longest. You can only pick ONE topping on the sandwiches off doordash. I would order from here more often but I want more than just one topping on my sandwich.

I found the Fox Lake location on google…..it was closed with no indication online. We ended up driving 40 minutes to the Waukegan location, and I’m glad we did.

Maybe your three kids running throughout the restaurant and your wife is sitting in her nice new white kia telluride she should maybe get out of the car and control your kids…even if it was my own business and when she’s asked after your own employees couldn’t deal with it your wife still sit in the car and after being questioned, she said well my husband’s owner, so maybe you should take a little bit more control your business if this is what your family is supported on. $26 for two sandwiches no fries no soda maybe i wouldnt have your kids running around maybe I think about getting into a different business.

Terrible customer service from the cook he/she was very rude. I paid for extra cheese and the cook got upset when I asked for more. I even stated I will pay for the charge. When I got home I received the incorrect cheesesteak sandwich, I paid for the one with that works and I received the regular one. The food was extremely salted, which I think was purposely done by the cook. I was not able to eat my food due to the cook purposely over seasoning my food. I’m 6 months pregnant and I have to watch my sodium intake. I’m really upset, I feel like my order was purposely over salted and I was giving the incorrect sandwich that cost less then what I paid for.

Used to love this spot. Upset at how the workers treated me. The girl who assisted me. Scratched her head several times, scratched her face, touched the kiosk and phone without even washing her hands before she scooped my cheesecake. She even gave me an attitude for letting her know. I’m sure that’s a health violation…
