Yes, the burger is as good as the pic. This place is right across from a beautiful beach. Service was quick and friendly. One of the best burgers I’ve had in recent memory. French fries were good too, with a type of Cajun seasoning.

I work as one of the main cooks here at the Canteen, I am committed to giving you the customer the best eating experience possible. Every burger is crafted with love and care, also I am doing my best to not add extra salt. All our sauces are fresh and home made, not that pre packed stuff most places use. Our fish tacos are my favorite personally, grilled fish on a crunchy corn tortilla, shredded cabbage, a pinch of onion our fresh salsa and in house taco sauce. They are a little messy but the taste is sensational.

Excellent burgers! I just wish they were open longer and i miss the old camp store section. It’s pretty much a burger place with a gift shop, i do miss the old ‘convenient store’ it used to be, it was perfect for the campers right next door. Now you have to go all the way to Safeway if you need anything.

We stopped here before heading home, the captain burger is really good! Would definitely recommend. Service was fast and the fries were awesome! Lots of flavor and the staff were really friendly.

We drive specifically to the cable house because it had a 4.5 star reviews of the restaurant. I wish I knew what the others ordered to warrant a rating that high. We ordered the 2 piece fish and chips 13.95, it came and was the WORST, SOGGY, BLAND Fish we have ever ordered. I MEAN IT WAS TERRIBLE!!! Look at my other postings and try one of those restaurants, stay clear of this place.

Good eatery for campers and day park visitors. Food and camping/beaching necessities are sold here. Decent burgers and long hotdogs, but missing some healthy options like salads and such.
