It took over an hour to get our food when there was only one other group seated in the restaurant. The portion sizes were absolutely pathetic. The food tasted good, but the staff made no effort to refill our drinks or ask if we needed anything. I will never eat at this establishment again

Only 3 cars n parking lot.1 very large table already had their food..were totally ignored by staff walking by us took 15minutes to take our order.30minutes more to bring my plate(3 burrito dinner only burritos size of tacos).10 more minutes to bring next plate.20 minutes more to bring 7taco plate( ooh took so long because 7tacos REALLY!).1.5 hours to eat at a place with 2 other people without food in the entire restaurant.Tiny portions of food.tasted good(reason not a 1). Only Mexican restaurant I’ve left hungry in my life(Im 60) guaranteed none of us will go back..Please El Tapatio in Monticello open on Sunday!

Love knowing I don’t have to drive all the way to Lafayette for some great Mexican food!! Service is always fast. Food comes to the table fast! Employees are always friendly. And by far the best Coke / cherry coke in town!!! Will keep coming back!!

I am confused while reading some of these other reviews, because the food was so delicious. I don’t know how anyone could disagree. There. The waiter was amazing! Service was great food was great what more could you ask for? I agree with it could be cleaned up better but it wasn’t bad at all!! Food and service made up for it

Ordered takeout the other night. They said it would be ready in 30 minutes and of course we waited. We got there and had to wait an additional 25 minutes. They we not busy what do ever, but it was okay we were hungry and just excited to try the food since this was my husband and I’s first time having it. When we got home to eat our food, the order was wrong. They put stuff on feed we specifically asked them not too and was missing food from our order. I called the restaurant and was told they would go ask the kitchen what happened. Then set the phone down on the desk and left me on the phone for 15 minutes while I heard them laugh and talk in the background. I hung up and tried to call again when my phone call would not go through, what seems like they blocked my number. We eventually just ended up sharing the food. About an hour or two later my husbands stomach started to hurt extremely bad. He ended up in the bathroom for an hour with stomach pains. He ate the chicken burrito. Then a couple hours later my stomach started to do the same thing. But this time I was sweating and having the feeling I was needing to throw up. I had the chili Renos. The food was not that good, and for the price honestly unacceptable. I will never be going back.
