Cactus Grill is a family-owned restaurant established in 2019, it comes from the idea of a Mexican and Guatemalan married couple, that love to cook, to spread the Oaxacan (A Southern state in Mexico) style of food. The Tlayuda is the main dish, a very famous Oaxacan craving, but they have a lot of variety on their menu. The owners try to give the best quality service to their customers, so if for any reason we don’t fulfill your expectations, please let the owner or manager know right away, and we promise that you will not leave with an unsatisfactory experience.

I placed an order for Cactus Grill on DoorDash after looking thru a few places for an early-morning meal. I got a single chimichanga with Steak, extra sour cream, No refried beans. The food arrived in a standard Styrofoam container, and was the temperature of the food was good. The portion sizes were nice and not lacking. The food was a bit on the soggy side, but that’s to be expected. The food was a great, and tasted just as you would expect it would. It wasn’t mind-blowing or anything new.. just exactly what you would expect. No special flavors, or anything newly innovative. I thought it was great. The meal came with some rice, and a couple special sauces, which I didn’t try. The rice was decent, but maybe slightly under-cooked. There was barely any seasoning to it. The steak inside was generous and not lacking. The sauce on top complimented the food well. The sour cream helped to lift the whole dish up a bit by offering a creamy texture and a nice blend with the steak and wrap.

Went today (3/9 around 1pm) for lunch. First time here. Service was very friendly and helpful. She said she is still new and didn’t know what was in one of the drinks. But she found out right away. Everything tasted amazing! I will def be back and think I’ve found my fav Mexican spot so far.

We stumbled on the Cactus Grill while waiting for the traffic to dissipate near Dulles. What a find! The food is fabulous! The owner came out and gave us samples of specialty meats, both pork and beef. We had chicken fajitas, a steak burrito, and pork enchiladas. The guacamole appetizer was huge and delicious. I can’t say enough about the restaurant, the staff or the food. They accommodated my food allergies too. 5 stars across the board. We will definitely be back! They also cater. This restaurant is a must if you are anywhere in the vicinity.

We were visiting Manassas and did a 30 min research for Mexican food and chose cactus grill.. it wasn’t the best experience though. Could have chosen some other restaurant in my opinion . Firstly , the waitresss doesn’t understand what we order because she doesn’t know English . Unfortunately, we also don’t know Spanish . She said chips comes with the salad that I ordered and I asked her to refill it because it took them forever to bring my beer . She said chips free and then they charged me for the refill. We were sitting there for 30 mins not getting our beer , so it is obvious that the owner should give free chips to make us wait .
