Loved everything about Cafe Amaro for our family dinner. The 6 of us started with drinks (espresso martinis and aperol spritzes, which were perfect, limoncello spritz was a bit bitter – acquired taste!) and 3 apps (calamari fritti, polpette – meatballs and arancini). We then split 3 pizzas (Margarita, pepperoni and prosciutto w/fig jam and arugula) and 3 entrees (chicken parmigiana, gnocchi and rigatoni bolognese). We ended with a tiramisu and a hot dessert calzone (huge, btw). We’d order all of it again in a heartbeat! The service and ambiance were great. It felt like we were in the home of a friend who is a really good cook! Only 10 small tables and right across the street from Mike’s so we could watch their line ebb and flow throughout the night! Can’t wait to go back and try the Amaro sampler next time!

This may have been the best meal we had in Boston. After eating here, we ate at Mama Maria and agreed that the pasta at Cafe Amaro was just as good, if not better, at a fraction of the price.

The smallest spots are the best finds! We were able to find a table here on a rainy night in Boston. Classic Italian food that was delicious. I had the linguini and my son a pizza. The wait staff was friendly and the service very fast. We recommend this for your North End experience!

Great atmosphere. Great service. Great food! We stopped here on a very hot Saturday afternoon. While the restaurant is small, they had the perfect table for 4! Our meals were delicious and the chef was awesome! If you’re looking for something more authentic, defiantly stop by Scopa; you won’t be disappointed!
