Horrible experience. I received meal vouchers from my airline due to 2 cancelled flights and came here to eat directly after receiving them from the ticket counter that was in the airport. Server was fine until I said I would pay with the vouchers, then she became rude saying they don’t accept that. The voucher was valid for airport restaurants which cafe americana is. Her name was Mascara (sp?) C. I tried asking her why and other questions regarding the voucher but she kept on walking away. I ended up paying cash and went to talk to the airline that issued the voucher. They said that it should work and offered me proper and good customer service, (suggestions to be reimbursed) unlike this restaurant. Came back to point out that this voucher should have been accepted and she accused me of underpaying the bill, in which I quickly pulled out the receipt to show her she was wrong. Then after I showed her the instructions on the voucher and its number, expiration date, etc. she walked away from me and would not talk to me afterwards. Management will be contacted about this incident additionally. Absolutely shameful behaviour.

Worst service ever!! Waited at the restaurant reception to have us seated for 10 mins. To add to the misery no one came to attend us for good 15 mins until we had to go in and call the waiter. Food quality was not great either. Absolutely not recommended!

We had a nightmare experience at this cafe on 3/6. We ordered 2 pizzas and then sat in cafe while they were made. The whole time the older of the two women working ( mother of younger one) was extremely rude, flicking the lights on and off, mumbling and glaring at us telling us they were closing. When pizzas were done we began eating them and they told us to leave. They were talking loudly in Spanish and another customer sitting by us asked if I spoke Spanish. It was obvious we didn’t want to know what they were saying about us. We were never told this order was “to go”. If so we would have never ordered there. We left and had to carry 2 large pizza boxes along with all our luggage through Dulles Airport. If you want to receive Unbelievable rudeness and ill treatment eat here.

Located at Baggage Claim 15. Theme is like a sports bar. They have international airline status screens inside the bar so you won’t miss anything if you are waiting for someone to arrive. Expect to pay around $20 for typical meals or snacks. They can seat around 50 people and only had 2 clients on Tuesday evening.

Not sure how the food is, but the bartending leaves a lot to be desired. In addition to be ridiculously expensive, they have no comprehension what basic cocktails involve. It took several minutes to try to get a gin and tonic started, as the bartender would intermittently take care of other people rather than the ones sitting there ordering right in front of her. Then tried to replace tonic water by using club soda and insisting it was the same thing. I won’t be back.

My son and I stopped in for lunch while waiting on our appointment for Global Entry appointments. I was surprised to find that the food as wonderful In my experience, airport food isn’t very good, but this place was much more than I expected. There services was great as well.
