It’s one of our new favorites. Food has been excellent every time. Their Eggs Benedict options are the best I’ve seen in Anchorage so far. As with any place like this, timing is important, but even overburdened staff handled us well.

Took my Mom and Grandma here today. The staff was so friendly, and the Reuben was delicious. Well spaced tables, comfortable atmosphere and not so loud we couldn’t enjoy our conversation together. Will definitely be visiting again. Location and parking are great also.

The Bavarian apple cake is my addiction. For a pastry that can either be cloyingly sweet or pucker-up tart in less careful hands, Cafe Amsterdam nails that balance everytime, and the dough is just buttery enough. Sometimes something else on the menu tempts me, and it’s always delicious, but that apple cake always calls me home. I can’t recommend this cozy little spot enough.

What impressed me the most about Cafe Amsterdam was the service. Staff puts a lot of thought into everything, from food to ambience to menu to procedures. Several staff were gracious and genuinely interested in their product and the experience. Food priced just a tick high for the portions, but it was fresh and very nicely presented. Overall, I’d put Cafe Amsterdam just inside a 4-star rating. Very nice.

Phenomenal place! I love how most of the dishes come on a croissant I love croissants!!! And the portions aren’t obnoxiously huge, just the right about to fill you. My husband got the Croissant Beatrix, and I got the Cordon Bleu. Both on a Croissant and bots delicious! I love their Dijonnaise. Definitely have to go here more often.

Initial cup of coffee was lukewarm — as was the refill. I had to request hot coffee be served. I’d never come across this issue prior to today’s visit; so it was a disappointment.

I came in for breakfast today as I am new to town and the gentleman at Red Wings boots suggested it. What an awesome place. It was clean, warm and the staff were amazing. I had the high protein breakfast and it was really really good. I was even offered some extra hashbrowns when the server had seen I finished my whole plate! That is old school service and it is very much appreciated!! I will be coming back for sure! Thank you

Don’t let the children’s menu deceive you. This place is NOT child friendly. The host even went out of his way to be rude. Which is a shame because the food is good.
