I was lured by the high star ratings. I’m always up for trying someplace new to me but are ‘neighborhood classics’ especially if escargot is on the menu. The place is vintage and seems to have been there for a very long time and I’m genuinely glad they survived the pandemic. Many of my food adventures end up at these pandemic survivors. I order everything I want and tip well as a sort of silent nod of victory to the places.

first the most important stuff: the food is excellent especially the pork chop special. french onion soup is also good. the service was excellent as well. the most offputting thing about this place was the smell. i don’t know how to describe it, but it smells like a bathroom that’s been cleaned with really pungent chemical cleaner. i dunno. this is something i don’t complain about very often, so it’s hard to put into words. that shouldn’t deter you from eating here since it didn’t seem to be a problem for the rest of the diners, and i stuck it out until the end.

I am a huge fan of French Bistros in general so was happy to find this one in Eagle Rock. A casual bistro with great service and food honestly always sounds good to me. Parking is easy as there is tons of neighborhood and street parking available, the menu has a good selection of items and our server was very polite.

Very good food in an unsuspecting area. The general atmosphere is fair and detracts from the overall experience this 4 stars. Enjoyed the strip steak with peppercorn sauce. Was cooked as ordered and served hot. Would eat here again.

I took my husband here for our anniversary and it was GREAT! The Food was cooked perfectly, the staff was very, very attentative. Our glasses were half full, and they would fill it up, our bread basket was half full, and they’d quickly fill it up. I have no complaints about this place at all.

Fist time at this place after pandemic, very disappointed. Let’s start with the decor, I still remember the cozy atmosphere of a Paris bistro, now the place is cold with cement floor, hard metal chairs. Then the service, ordered a bottle of wine, server was checking the tables, walking around, never realized that our glasses were empty, never offered to refill. Then the food, I ordered the steak with fries, I got a plate full of fries and a huge steak on top! How I was supposed to cut the steak with all those fries underneath????

Intimate and cozy experience. My husband and I came here to celebrate. 2 of us had a wonderful experience for $70 including tip. The ambiance is low lighting with a cool french vibe. The fish was semi-fresh, but not the freshest. The vegetables were well seasoned and cooked. All in all, we had a lovely experience.

We love Cafe Beaujolais! The atmosphere is lovely, food is delicious, great wine selection and friendly staff. The live music on Fridays and Saturdays is an added bonus. We’ve been coming here for 20+ years. It’s wonderful for date night, special occasions and cozy mid week dinners when you’re craving a delicious meal.

Parking was nearby and free. Live piano player. French onion soup was the worst I’ve ever had and I wish they had more to drink besides a dozen wines and pop. But the steaks were good. They are pricey though.
