I came to meet someone here for brunch, and I was very underwhelmed by the food. I’m not sure how basic breakfast can be messed up, but it was. It seemed like they got the cheapest, thinnest bacon they could find. I was very disappointed because I make better bacon at home and the ham was disgusting. You have to pay upfront before getting your food, so I don’t think you can get a refund if you dont like something. The only thing that was decent was the waffle. I dont know if I ordered the wrong thing or what, but my associate and I didn’t enjoy the food here.

I had an AMAZING experience at Cafe Bernardo! I was sent there for “the best brunch in Davis” by a coffee shop down the road, and it did not disappoint. The staff was incredibly friendly and gave great suggestions on what to order. The manager checked on me multiple times and made suggestions for other restaurants in Napa and Sonoma. I will absolutely be returning!

Nice place and decoration, super tasty food, friendly staff. We ordered from the breakfast menu: breakfast burrito, breakfast sandwich and bernardo benedict, for two adults and two small kids was more than enough. Food was amazingly good, eggs soft and creamy, bread delicious and the burrito covered with a sauce fresh and spicy. The staff is friendly and quick, we waited just a few menus for a fantastic meal. The restaurant is well located just a few steps from the central park, it has in-door and outdoor seating options, decoration pretty nice and some seasonal details. We’ll be back for sure.

Great environment and friendly staff. Big, appealing menu. My friend and I sat outside, and it was very pleasant. My friend had pancakes that looked delicious, as well as a fruit salad. I had the salmon BLT but left off the salmon. The bread was toasted and rustic with a coarse texture. Very good sandwich. The restaurant was busy (Sunday afternoon), and service was a bit slow. I would rate the cafe 3.5 if that choice were available.

Wonderful food, great service and menu. The portions are a good size and if you’re looking for healthy, local ingredients, this is also a plus here. Four stars only because the table and chairs were wobbly, and we had to have them refute the steak because it came out red Eve though we had ordered well done.

My friend and I had brunch here before going to the Michelangelo exhibit. The cooks weren’t sure the eggs were antibiotic free, so I had the Belgian Waffle. It. Was. Excellent! We also had some good Bloody Marys. The staff were young, but friendly and sooo helpful. I will definitely be back, hopefully to have some eggs… I miss eating eggs when I’m out at a restaurant…

The restaurant was beautifully decorated. The wait time of 30 minutes however was a bit disappointing. This was expected for a Sunday since it usually gets extremely busy. I recommend coming early (once it opens). I got an avocado toast with poached eggs and my husband ordered an omelette. The plates are on the smaller side. My husband has a big appetite and wasn’t used to the small plate. However we both agreed it was delicious.
