If you are looking for good Colombian cuisine in Reading PA this is a place to go. They have diferent kund of soup everyday that come with meat, salad and rice. They have really good lunch specials, empanadas and colombian drinks plus fruit shakes and cofe.

Definitely was not expecting much cus I never had good experiences at these types of places before BUT this place redeemed them all. Everything was exactly how I’d expect it to be. This little drink here is top notch I ordered this and some empanadas then literally turned around and ordered more and wanted seconds before I even finished firsts.

Propaganda can be effective until you arrive at this place. Customer service socks depending of clients’ appearance. This morning, i stopped by quick to get coffee with my cousin who stopped by from NJ and wants us to get coffee before he kept driving. Besides their expensive prices, The cashier lady had the nastiest passive aggressive attitude. She couldn’t even tell us what the shakes they had available but she sent us to read the menu. She was very passionate about the size of our coffee even though my cuz told her “this size” pointing at a cup they had displayed. I asked for coffee with creamer and she did not add a drop of creamer to that coffee. She was not engaging or welcoming at all. Surprisingly, i noticed how a white lady professionally dressed came in to order a coffe and the cashier’s attitude was completely different towards this client.

I really enjoyed the food at this (literally) hidden gem; the restaurant is actually tucked away off Penn Street. I ordered take out so I didn’t have to worry about parking but I can imagine it’s tough if you’re sitting down to eat. Their empanadas were my favorite and so yummy that I regretted only getting two. My only complaint being that I wish they were larger. The Bandeja Paisa was pretty good as well. The egg was cooked perfectly, the flavorful chicharrón was crunchy and I was surprised by the great taste of the salchicha. The pulled meat tostones (patacones) were tasty but, I personally, I’m not a fan of the sauce that they use. I guess I’ll order it on the side next time. Can’t wait till my next order.

Small place with limited parking, but the food is good, the service is better if you speak Spanish and the food is on point. If you go there bring cash as they don’t take credit cards and don’t be in a hurry, while service is not slow they don’t rush you to eat and get out. Prices are above average, but the servings are large enough that you would end up taking the leftovers home.

As you can see there are a few photos because I have already been there like three times with my family. They serve you a lot of food for a reasonable price. The owner is friendly. The place is clean and feels cozy, no noise. Tip: go with an empty stomache!

Fantastic little gem in downtown Reading. Portions are large, prices amazing, and quality great. Breakfast was everything we hoped for, and staff friendly as it gets. Clean location where owners obviously take pride in what they do. We will be going back for sure!
