Nabor Ramirez opened the first Cafe Delicias, in Old Town Auburn, in 1964. The first location was followed by the opening of the second Cafe Delicias in Roseville. Later on, Mr. Ramirez would open the other restaurants in Rocklin and Auburn.

If you just went off of how clean the place was you would leave, We gave it a shot because sometimes you get really good food, you never know. Every table was dirty we Sat down at, Even after the guy wiped it down it still had stuff on it. The table has a plastic cover on top of it and it’s full of water below. You could actually push down on the top of the table and make water come out on top of your shirt. The bottom of the chips when we got done with them, there was a ton of Teflon type plastic in the bottom of the bowl. I posted a picture. I thought it was interesting to use a wooden bowl for a salad but you know. The food was very good, Good luck.

My first visit to Cafe Delicias was 1965… and, it remains really good. Even the fresh small dinner salad has never changed_it is Excellent & fresh every time. (They are refrigerating in small bowls to save time.) Not good. Great Salsa & Chips tells best Mexican food most times. It’s all good…Try the egg dishes!

Good food, decent price, very friendly staff. The burritos lookes good and i got the super nachos. They give complimentary chips and salsa and its very good. They also have fried ice cream and burrito cheesecake. I didnt try it, but i think itd taste pretty good. The decor is nice and has a nice theme that makes it cozy. They also have a bar.

Great local Mexican food restaurant that has been part of Old Town Auburn for ages. Good food for a good price, and you get free chips! Cafe Delicias also offers lunch specials Monday-Friday where you can get a big lunch for less than $10.
