Seems to be on the downswing (as denoted by mishandled quality ingredients and recipes); My visit here was marred by a series of unfortunate events including: Poor reception, poor communication, poor seating, poor service, insanely loud music (talking concert level not restaurant level), judgmental servers, slow kitchen, non-disclosure of food content resulting in minor illness. Crowd was showing mostly silver and the younger patrons were of the non-native variety.

The restaurant is located conveniently in the center of Ventura downtown. The atmosphere is really nice and we had a nice dinner there. Our waiter was nice and attentive who took good care of our table of six. The food was overall okay but we found a great variation between dishes. The pasta fruti di mare was ok but the mussels had a bad taste to them, the pizza was ok as well but a little bit boring and not the greatest dough. The New York steak was apparently very good as was the pasta with the filet. We also had good but strong cocktails and delicious creme brulee. We may come back here because it’s really a nice atmosphere with live music, but will try other dishes.

Delicious food!!! Great service. The atmosphere is very romantic and they has a tiny and cozy patio. The owner put attention to every aspect and detail of food quality… The desert are delightful! Is so hard to stopped to eat this YUMMY stuff. Be careful… HAPPINESS come to you from nowhere after chocolate cake.

We had such a wonderful experience at Cafe Fiore last night. We didn’t have reservations but we were able to sit at a counter directly infront of the kitchen so we got to watch the food being cooked. It was like getting dinner and a show and I can tell you, those people can work. Everyone in the kitchen was so fast and efficient at their jobs. The food was flying out of that kitchen and everything looked good. Our server was a lovely lady who took great care of us, recommending things and checking in on us to ensure that the food was to our liking. We were given some lovely bread to start, with a homemade tomato dipping sauce. Our mains were delicious and filling and dessert was wonderful. It was a great experience, we will definitely be back to try all the other tasty things that they have on the menu.

Nice atmosphere. Restrooms needed tending to. Paper towel dispenser did not work in the women’s restroom. Mother’s Day brunch could’ve been better considering their high prices! Very stingy on their so- called prime rib portions!-McDonald’s burger patties are thicker!!

Really liked the gnocchi. The lamb shank was good,but I wish the fat was trimmed off. Food servings are large and worth the price. Large servings of wine and whiskey, as well…definitely worth the price
