Wow!! Simply amazing! We had great service with Suri, Mike, and one other amazing young lady (I forgot her name). The garlic bread with melted cheese was divine. We loved our house salad with arugula and balsamic vinaigrette dressing. My husband had the delicious Linguine Pescatora, and I had the filet mignon which was loaded with delicious mushrooms, along with sautéed spinach. We had an incredible chocolate ice-cream dessert which paired beautifully with their superb chocolate martini!! What an epic meal!! We can’t wait to go back again. Thank you!!

Three of us had a wonderful meal and all-around five-star experience last night at Cafe Gabbiano. I ordered the truffle salmon special that was not only mouth-wateringly delicious, but also was one of the best cooked pieces of fish I’ve ever eaten. The generous portion was perfectly moist, succulent and flaky. Yum! My friends gave enthusiastic thumbs up to their shrimp pasta and eggplant Parmesan dishes, and we all enjoyed the fried calamari appetizer and Caesar salads that preceded our entrees. Al/Alexandra our server couldn’t have been more efficient, engaging or knowledgeable about the menu. It was a quiet night on Siesta Key, so we were able to spend almost three hours in relaxing conversation while we ate fabulous food and drank good wine.

Being locals we have experienced many Sarasota area restaurants and Cafe Gabbiano easily ranks in the top five. Free parking just outside the door (in the village!), a warm and welcoming feeling walking in, extensive wine list with very reasonable pricing, and really excellent service. The food, couple of wows. Solid bread with small Caesars then two specials, the grouper and veal cutlet. Both were terrific. We eat out more than in and continue to enjoy favorites and try the new, and we don’t hesitate to highly recommend this spot which is well known and to and a regular choice of the neighborhood locals. You’ll love it…

I had my wedding reception in the wine cellar. Small, intimate, really cool setting. We were blown away by the food and service. Chris was great to coordinate with! The food was simply mazing and what a treat it was to have left overs the next day!! My husbands and I plan to make it a yearly tradition to go on our anniversary!

This place was perfect! I got married and held the reception here in July. The location was great, the service impeccable and everyone loved the food (said it was fantastic). Kris, the manager, did a great job in answering all of questions, addressing our concerns, and generally being patient with us. I’d highly recommend this place for any event but also for a nice night out.
