Lovely little cafe in Brooklyn. Nice selection of pastries and food menu. I had the cous cous which was absolutely delicious! We also had the chicken baguette which my daughters loved, as well as the avocado toast. A hidden gem in my mind!

All these years later Gitane is still a favorite. The menu hasn’t changed in the best way possible. The atmosphere at this Vinegar Hill location is really peaceful and beautiful. Staff are always attentive. I’ve been going to the Gitane in Nolita since I worked around the corner in 2004— a real gem. A favorite and super nostalgic for me.

Cafe gitane is a French Parisian inspired Cafe offering French and American food. The service was very good I went very early in the morning the wait staff was very attentive the music was great the seating arrangements was fine overall aesthetic perfect for close casual get-togethers.
