Super Salad Chick
The clams & bread were such a fresh & tasty appetizer with my hubby-bubby. He had a Club Sandwich and potato salad and enjoyed both!! I had a Blueberry & Walnut Salad with the choice of Shrimp. It was worth the hour drive. We enjoyed the Cafe decor and our waitress “Autumn” was very pleasant;) Thank You for a great day in Princeton

Nice find in Princeton! Tried it for the first time today for lunch and it was delicious. The food, service, and atmosphere were all great. We had the Turkey Rachel and the Turkey Club Panini both with a side of potato salad. The potato salad was amazing! We would go back again!

We had a lovely meal with pleasant service. Hubby’s pot roast was tender and falling apart. My soup de jour of shrimp and corn bisque had layered flavors that I enjoyed. Turtle brownie with ice cream tasted like it had just come out of the oven. We felt fortunate to have found it. The building is unassuming and a bit hard to spot from the road. It has historical charm.

A bit more upscale food and atmosphere than I was expecting. My Tomato, Mushroom Balsamic omelette was delicious and my partner’s Biscuits and Gravy was quite good as well. The only complaint I have is the chairs, the side bars were a little uncomfortable. We’ll definitely be back next time we’re in town!

I had high hopes for this restaurant experience during my latest trip to Princeton. The waitstaff is very attentive. The space has so much potential, but it’s negatively affected by a lack of cohesion in the interior design with lots of ‘word art’ on the walls and shelves. Some of the sliding wood doors from the historic space were cut up to make the bar, which made my heart break as a designer.

A friend highly recommended this small Cafe in downtown Princeton IL. I ordered the Stuffed Mushroom & Swiss burger medium well with a side of Sweet potato waffle fries. I was not disappointed with flavor of burger or the fries. I had a slice of maple blueberry cake, that satisfied my sweet tooth. The entire staff was very helpful and friendly. Their breakfast and evening menu meals sound unique & delicious so I plan to go back! Check their page out on Facebook and if you have questions they dovreply back.

My experience didn’t start off well since the restaurant was closed at the hours that should have already been opened someone should have been in the dining room. It was after 4 p.m. when they reopen in the afternoon I had to walk around the restaurant to the rear of the restaurant to find two Cooks and a server sitting on the ground smoking cigarettes. I ordered the hot beef sandwich and what I got was what’s some charred, well overcooked, meat that could barely be chewed. I asked the server if this is normal? She said it wasn’t they were having a new pot roast coming out of the oven. Apparently she said they sold me what was left of the old one and she said there’s a new fresh one that’s going to be done soon. But after chewing on that first one for so long trying to down it because I was super hungry didn’t have any Faith to try it again. From reading the reviews it seems like people really like it which is why I came here. However, my first experience was a bad one. The waitress even took the bill the cash register instead of saying there’s no charge right away she took the build the cash register and then she end up coming back after a few minutes and she said I’m not going to charge you for it. I appreciate that but that shouldn’t even be thinking about it when you know it came out burned. I’m not from Princeton I just been working here for a few days. Maybe one day I will give it another shot but what a horrible first impression. You can see the pictures of the burnt meat it was hard like old beef jerky

I visited this place with my mother-in-law the weekend before Mother’s Day and enjoyed very much the friendly faces and historical vibes this place had to offer. My mother-inlaw uses a walker and has trouble with any steps and this place has a nice ramp and was very accomodating to her needs. I give it a big thumbs up. The fried chicken had so much coating I found it hard to eat without wishing I had a dog to clean up the floor after me, however.
